Milea Bee Farm

Milea Bee Farm is not not your typical, manicured farm. You will be visiting a small farm dedicated for the propagation and care of various species of honey producing bees. It is situated in a secluded area with no neighbours and without electricity, and it's a five minute walk from the parking area. Visitors will be having a guided tour to see the bees in their habitat. We have the Italian Bees, Philippine Native Honey Bees and different kinds of Philippine Native Stingless Bees. You can have a taste of honey, fresh from the bee hive; know and see the different honey producing bee species; know the sources of nectar and pollen as well as edible flowers; discover the relationship between bees & flowers; and how bees are closely related to the food chain. It will be an entirely new experience which gets you much closer to nature. Milea Bee Farm is only open to visitors every first Saturday of the month. Please note that this is not a resort and we do not have a restaurant though we serve food using farm produced ingredients with prior arrangement. Hope we could share to you why bees are important and how you can lend a hand in our campaign and the worldwide concern to help save the bees.

Pagsanjan Falls

Reviewed By achidz - Manila, Philippines

We had such a good morning. Stayed at Casa Del Rio and they sorted the boat for us. 1250pp seems expensive but is definitely worth it. The scenery is stunning and we saw plenty of wildlife too, monkeys, kingfishers, and a woodpecker. Easy to do on your own. We got the HM liner bus from Cubao for 166php each. Jeepney from Santa Cruz to Pagsanjan. Cheaper than some of the tours advertised, even with a night in Casa Del Rio.

Aguinaldo Shrine

Dubbed as the House of History, the Aguinaldo Mansion is the locus of a focal point in the unfolding of Philippine history. Constructed in 1845, the original structure of the house was of nipa-and-thatch material. It was reconstructed four years later using a variety of Philippine hardwood. By the 1920s, major renovation saw the construction of the tower and the symbolic balcony of the house. It was also during this period that the house was refurbished with architectural details of nationalistic themes, masonic symbols, and art nouveau and art deco’s artistic style prevalent during the early 20th century. The house where the president lived was donated to the Filipino people in 1963, a year before he passed away. In 1964, the house was placed under the care of the National Museum of the Philippines and was declared a national shrine through Republic Act No 4039. By 1972, Executive Order No 370 transferred the shrine under the care and maintenance of the National Historical Commission

It's a very well maintained informative museum. It shows the histories of the Philippine National Hero General Emilio Aguinaldo, the history of the KKK, and the house itself. This residence was the real home of Emilio Aguinaldo. It's made of amazing selections of Philippine wood and carved and styled and displayed to fully bring out the character of early 20the century Cavite (the house wasn't built during the 19th century revolution - didn't know that). Be sure to check out to the cool escape hatches, hidden flower holders, and ammunitions storage secret doors. The guides are great too.

Instagramnable place! Very near Manila. Visited with my 13 year old son and sister from NZ. Surprisingly low cost worth it four hour drive from Manila. Better to reserve if you are in a big group but for a smaller group like us, you can come as a joiner. The food was amazing! All serve in the balsa while enjoying the picturesque view. Worth the php440.00 per head for tilapia, pako salad, okoy plus liempo as add on for php40.00. Parking is 50.00 per car with motorcycle ride going to the site at 50php/head. But you can walk from the parking to the lake if you want an exercise for 15 min walk. Call ate tina if you want to reserve at 09079952983

Mount Daraitan & Tinipak River

Reviewed By uthipsay - Manila, Philippines

Mountain Daraitan is very famous for Sunrise view as this is highest peak in this region. If you want to see the Sunrise, need to reach at the top by 6 AM, so that you can rest a while for 10 to 15 minutes and then enjoy the Sunrise. The Mountain is full of Rocks and thick jungle. We started from Makati city by Van - a group of 17 visitors at 11 PM and reached Daraitan town in Tanay at 2 AM. Last 1 hour drive was rough due to no real road. Towards end, you cross the river Tinipak over a narrow wooden bridge. We started to climb at 3:30 AM with a local guide with us. the Guide was carrying a Wireless Walkie Talkie. You must carry at Touch with Headband - so that your hands are free and need to wear hand gloves - as while going up or coming down, you have to take support of the Rocks (may have sharp edges) or Trees. Always follow your guide else you will be lost, the Path is muddy at some places. there are 3 stations (small rest area) where you get Coconut water or Coffee. We reached at the Sunrise Point at 6 AM however could not see the Sunrise due to Clouds and Fog, but the weather at the top (about 2700 Feet altitude) was pleasant. we had good photo shoot and then started to another peak called "Heart Peak" about 1 hour walk - passing through Rocks and caves. At Heart Peak Point you see splendid view of river Tinipak. Here you have facility to take some snacks and place to sit and relax. From there we walked down - thorough rocks and rocks at the base near river. Had lunch in Daraitan and returned back to Makati by evening. It is a good and slightly tough Trek but I am sure you will enjoy it.

You can view the city atop this church perched on a hill. I also had a unique experience doing the Stations of the Cross outside the church "forest" grounds.
