I found Origin Yoga through Tripadvisor and I thought I should return the favor for good karma. I completed the 6 day retreat package and walked away feeling very happy that I chose to go on the adventure in Taiwan. The location is beautiful, and the retreat is situated just across from the ocean. It's an undiscovered hideaway. The accommodations are situated in an abandoned condo complex, and hosts amazing views of the ocean. The building itself can be a bit intimidating at first, but the wonderful views and experiences from the retreat helps you to forget about the condition of the building. The rooms are spacious and you have access to a wonderful shared common area that is the living room and kitchen. The retreat was such a great experience due to the creativity and love put behind everything by the founder Lydia. All of the activities were chosen specially for the retreat and made through her personal contacts--needless to say, they were one of a kind and felt very special. It was something that I wouldn't have been able to experience on my own. The healthy and delicious meals are vegetarian and made specially for the guests in house. The yoga teacher, Yoanna is warm and welcoming and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this retreat for anyone who is looking for a more intimate yoga retreat experience that is truly one of a kind. You will leave feeling clear, and rejuvenated.

Chiufen Shengping Theater

Awesome little theater. Well kept. Good knowledge for tourists. Started in 1934 it was a cinema and a place for opera performances. I loved the wooden chairs. Even in the olden days, the VIP section on the first floor consisted of wooden chairs!
