You'll find rugged beauty and a slow pace in the Cinque Terre. Named for the five towns of Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore, this portion of the Italian Riviera is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cars aren't allowed, so take local trains or ferries to go from town to town—or walk one of the spectacular trails that connect them.

Our school is set in a stunning location in Monterosso, Italy high on the mountainside! We offer much more than just a Cooking experience, we would like to show you our passion for food which starts right from planting and cultivating! Our lessons are great fun for all the family with discounts available for children and large groups.. Special occasions can also be catered for and gift vouchers are also available. Lessons can be tailored for beginners are even the most experienced chefs. If you have a special dietary requirement we can adjust the menu accordingly. Vegetarian or Gluten free options are available. We now also run a Pesto Masterclass every evening at 5.00pm.. This is a shorter class than our main lesson and you will be preparing dinner rather than lunch.. Both the Cooking Lessons and also the Pesto Masterclass are held every day.
We had a great experience at the Cinque Terre Cooking School. We were picked up promptly at the arranged time and brought to the site. Our teacher, Mr. Mendez, was very knowledgeable and skillful; entertaining too. We learned how to make pesto the traditional way, as well as an excellent baked sea bass. Also, gnocchi, stuffed vegetables and a delicious cake. To top it off, we were able to enjoy our cooking on their lovely terrace overlooking Monterosso al Mare below. What a wonderful day! It is a nice location where is possible to taste wines, beers, cocktails, liquers, spirits selected from the best Cinque Terre and Italian sources. Now is closed; we open next April 2020.
Do NOT leave Vernazza without going to this place. Beautiful rustic-industrial interior and well-displayed spirits. Pesto class is phenomenal. Worth every €. Alessi is a charming teacher; his knowledge of the region and ability to impart the local history of not just the wines but the tools, oils, and ingredients makes the class a uniquely memorable experience. He also happens to be a skilled mixologist, humbly dishing out the best drinks in town. Carol is sweet and attentive. Together they are very warm and welcoming hosts.

Santa Margarita festival in June was so nice day market- early evening parade through town, traditional bands, church service and blessing --and amazing fireworks over the water at the beach at night. Very nice family scene. Special and unique time to be in Vernazza!
