Truly hidden gem. Shame that the two huge ships of Caligula were destroyed on 31st May during WW2. What remains is an architectural marvel built to house these two huge ships from such a small lake. Loads of artefacts to see and best is that is has very few visitors due to being hidden away around an hour or so’s drive from Rome.
