The 10 Best Spas & Wellness in Arkansas, United States

January 25, 2022 Viva Honore

Living up to its billing as “The Natural State”, the state is a nature wonderland with three national forests, nearly 9,000 miles of pristine streams and rivers, awe-inspiring settings in the Ozark and Quachita mountains and sparkling lakes.

The menu of vacation experiences is an exciting one. For great golf, spas, horse racing and the Hot Springs National Park, Hot Springs is the place to go. Outdoor enthusiasts love the Ozark Mountains where activities like canoeing, rafting, kayaking, fishing, hiking and rock climbing are popular. The mountain village of Eureka Springs, with its streets lined with Victorian homes, is brimming with boutiques, antique shops and art galleries. Wine enthusiasts love the Arkansas Wine Country, encompassing the towns of Paris, Ozark and Altus, where German style wines are produced. From its ancient mountains to the Delta flatlands leveled by the Mississippi River, the state has a diverse topography with numerous scenic drives. Try the Pig Trail, Ozark Highlands and Sylamore scenic byways in the Ozark National Forest designated by the U.S. Forest Service. Golfers love the state because greens fees are extremely affordable for great courses. A few excellent public access courses are Sage Meadows in Jonesboro, Stonebridge Meadows in Fayetteville and the Mountain Ranch Course in Fairfield Bay.

Turtle Cove is perhaps the best spa in Arkansas. Very clean and skilled therapists. Highly recommend! If with a group, call ahead and order food to snack on between treatments - they prepared an amazing charcuterie tray, spinach dip, and other fun foods - their catering menu is extensive.

Caleb was excellent. He is very concerned with range of motion issues, and provided the best pain relief I've had in months. He is always very attentive to my modesty. I appreciated his careful and professional manner. I will be back soon and will ask for Caleb.

I was first referred to Healing Benefits by my sister when I lived in CA. I could not wait for my visits to AR to see Marsha for a massage. And now I live here and get to see her whenever I want. She is very knowledgeable and answers all of my questions. Every time I see her she takes the time necessary to make sure I have a great experience. Nestled in outdoorsy Eureka Springs, her office maintains the down to earth atmosphere I love. Partnered with her use of essential oils(which smell amazing) her friendliness is a welcome relief from the stresses life offers. I highly recommend Marsha and her staff. You will not regret the hour you spend there.

My 90 minute massage by Annette was one of the BEST I have ever had! She used multiple techniques to work out some stubborn shoulder knots. I also love that Living Wellness doesn't upsell clients - hot stones, essential oils, foot scrubs, etc. were all included in the price, whereas most places consider those as optional "add-ons" that you'd pay extra for.

The ease of booking my appointment online was also a plus! Everyone was very friendly and pleasant from beginning to end! The only complaint I had was the customer next to my room talked during the entire session which took away from my relaxing experience!
