We have just completed an 11 day trip of the Omo Valley with Solayke and it could not have been better. From the beginning he answered every query, and there were many, and this felt very reassuring. In the U.K. we are not used to sending a cash deposit to Africa and it takes a leap of faith. Please do not worry Solayke is the most honest person you could meet. We offered to give him the cash balance on arrival and he refused. I was concerned that we would be intrusive on the tribes and it would be tourist photos and demanding people. This was not the case , he knows all the people and is very respectful towards them. Because you actually stay with them they get used to you and you can just relax with them. It was the most amazing experience and we will never forget the people we met, the children we played with and the itinerary that was impeccably planned and perfect for us. We also then flew on to Lalibela independently but Solayke also arranged all internal flights. The camping was a highlight for us - expect basic conditions but having a goat BBQ’d for us more than made up for this. In every other place, while there might be a limited choice of hotel, the best option was chosen. His patience and knowledge are wonderful. If you are willing to make no comparisons with European customs and standards you will have a brilliant time.

I enjoyed this 4 day trip very much. I saw 4 tribal villages and was able to take many photographs. The driver and guide were very nice and we had lots of fun along the way. Not only did we go to see the tribal villages but we saw amazing countryside, stopped for lunch and coffee in interesting local places, and went to a tribal market. I would recommend Banti Tours for a trip to Omo Valley.

We were lucky in travelling at a time with few tourists but had a fantastic time. The company was well organised and very honest. We had good information on the trip and what was expected. Our driver/guide was the perfect balance between giving us interesting information but at the same time allowing us to explore and ask questiions that interested us. The visits to traditional tribes were senstively done and visits were playful and fun. While we were in Addis the company took good care of us. Gasaw was very professional and attentive to our needs. He took us to a very traditional coffee shop which we woud never have found on our own . The traditional dinner dancing and singing was truely memoral.

We just spent 10 days traveling through the north of Ethiopia and can't be more grateful. Horizon has made our trip easy and super interesting. All the guides were great, but I'd like to call out Eliah in Gondar and Addisu in Lalibela, who were absolutely awesome. The drivers were also prudent and reliable. expat in Addis , My family and I had a fantastic experience with EthioTours . Had a fantastic morning tour on lake Tana . Beautiful sunrise and a fantastic breakfast. The guide was really knowledgeable about all the animals we saw and explained about the fishermen and what they were doing. Saw plenty of hippos too! It was an amazing experience, we visited three beautiful islands . We would like to thank Melese for showing us all unique areas and sharing the stories . Private tour was absolute best way to relax and see the beauty of the lake. Highly recommended !

I've got the best possible service, as for me. I had a really good guide and great driver. He was very attentive: I did video on the way with opened windows and driver closed window for safety and said me I can continue to video street life. I liked traditional clothing market a lot: if you want to have really beautiful souvenir from Ethiopia, I think Shiromeda ( I'm not sure, if I wrote it correctly..) is the best possible place)) I really highly appreciative for the service I had. We visited Mercato market and I felt totally safe there: without a guide I would never go there. But with the guide it was very interesting and safe visit. The tour is flexible and it's great: you can choose what is interesting for you. We bought good coffee on the way and also I've tasted avocado and mango juice)) The owner of company is great and treated me in the best way)) Highly recommended Ethio Travel and Tours for your tours through Ethiopia and Addis.

We went on a 4-day trek in the Simien Mountains in April 2019 and had the most amazing time. Alex was very helpful and accommodating from the beginning, and everything was well organized and smooth. Our guide was an absolute legend (a 70+ year old who was way fitter than any of us) who knew the mountains inside and out and was incredibly knowledgeable about flora and fauna, especially birds which my mum (an avid bird watcher) was very excited about. Highly recommended to anyone who likes an adventure.

I traveled solo as a female to Ethiopia. Yared organised everything so I had an authentic safe Ethiopian experience. It was amazing. Both Joseph (Addis guide) and Yared (owner) were experts!
