My boyfriend and I were on a time constraint to see the rice villages. We only had a day and needed to get to the airport by 230 for a flight. I set it up about a month prior with Andy to pick us up in our hotel in yangshou, visit the rice terraces for a few hours, and drop us off at the airport. Andy was able to answer a lot of questions for us and pointed out things at the terraces we would have previously not noticed by ourselves! Thanks for a great and easy day, Andy!

Sophia was a delight. She was an excellent guide in trying to make the day not only Informative but also fun. She and the driver, Mr. Wu, took very good care of me through a very long (because of traffic) day. I have travelled with YAT Travel since 2018 and the places that I went with them are North-East China, Harbin, Heilongjiang, Guizhou, West Sichuan and the most recent one that I went is the Silk Road and North Xinjiang. All together they were 3 long tours, all covering more than 20 days in each trip. I find this travel agency reliable and they deliver what were promised in the itineraries. They guides that were assigned to us are passionate and responsible in their duties..namely Zach and Jason whom I have the privilege to meet. Both of them went all the way out to make sure their guests are comfortable and well taken care of. If not for the pandemic the whole world is facing now, I would have gone with YAT for my fourth trip and that is to Yunnan Photography Tour in March this year. When the trip was cancelled due to the pandemic our deposits were promptly refunded by the company to our much relieved. If you plan to see China as a traveller and not seeing the usual touristy stuff which is often jam packed and very commercialised I would highly recommend YAT Travel. They will bring you to see the real interesting China and not forgetting to mention the delicious local food they bring to.

I had this tour on January 8th, 2020. During the middle of the winter, where Zhangjiajie is liable to have foggy rainy weather - which does not lend itself well to the beautiful photos many people post of summer time in the park. With that being said, I had a truly wonderful time. My guide spoke good English for a non-native speaker. I could hold a conversation with him and he was very knowledgable about details of the park (ie: when it opened, types of rocks within the formations, info on the ethnic minorities in the park, etc). He was very kind and did his best to keep me dry despite me having a raincoat. He also had a good eye for where to take photos and how to take them! The tour was not walking intensive, utilizing the intrapark bus service often. This was simultaneously nice and disappointing for a young guy like me who likes to hike but was also two weeks into a cross China trek. After the tour he showed me where to eat, as I had worked up an appetite. And after eating he escorted me to my hotel via a taxi which was paid for by him. Overall, I highly recommend this tour. Get up early and get to the park especially during busy seasons. I think two people plus the guide is an ideal number of people ($115 each). Keep in mind this does NOT include the glass bridge which, frankly, I thought was overrated.

Everything worked as expected, pick-up was on time and the views were great. The bamboo raft cruise part is not very long, but it covers the best part of the Li river landscape, so I would definitely recommend it if you are short of time.

This was our second time to Yunnan province and our first time to Dali and this tour made us fall in love with Dali! We were staying in kunming for a 3 day weekend and decided to go to Dali for the day, this tour gives you all it promises and more. It was very easy to book and communicate with the company via WeChat. Even though it was a holiday and we only gave them a few hours notice (not to mention the middle of a pandemic) they arranged everything quickly and hassle free. Everything from that day (from leaving our hotel room in the morning to returning to our hotel at night) was extremely simple thanks to the tour company. Our tour guide, Linda, was the best tour guide we have ever had! She helped us with everything and showed us the real Dali, her English is extremely good so make sure you ask for Linda if you go! Even though we already did this trip, we would definitely do it again without hesitation! Also the lunch is absolutely out of this world, make sure you choose the traditional Dali Chinese food option it is so good and let's you taste real traditional local food.
