We appreciated Dzenana' selection of highlights, the wise alternance of didactical moments and relax at cafes, her enthusiast attitude and her accuracy.

Based on TripAdvisor, I engaged Dino from Magical Croatia to pick us up from the Slano Marina and drive us to the airport. As we had a few spare hours to kill as our scheduled flight was delayed, we asked to make several stops on the way including a stop to see the old city of Dubrovnik, some panoramic sites and to go shopping all before we ended in the airport. Dino was prompt a courteous the car was clean and sufficiently spacious (we were a group of 5 with plenty of luggage). Dino, who speaks fluent English, made an extra effort to provide information along the way and explain the sites even though all we ordered was an airport transfer.

In the 10th century, Bosnia was mentioned as a state for a very first time. During the rule of King Tvrtko, Bosnia had the largest territory. Marks of King’s lifestyle still can be seen and are perfectly preserved and worth seeing. Remarkable architecture left in wild nature point, untamed rivers, breathtaking sightseeing will make You travel back through the time and feel the note of medieval life! Old fortress in Tesanj, the biggest one in country, is left to us as national treasure, heritage, historical monument, the pearl of Bosnia tourism and we strongly recommend it for a day trip! Vranduk fortress represents the second part of our medieval story. To this day this walled medieval village is still inhabited. With the newly completed restoration almost complete Vranduk has become one of BiH’s best preserved medieval fortress, with access to the main castle, information readily available and a coffee shop to serve you Bosnian coffee or a refreshing drink.

6. 4 Day Breathtaking Kingdom of Bosnia and Herzegovina

NowBosnia

The Kingdom of Bosnia (Bosnian: Bosansko kraljevstvo, Босанско краљевство) was a medieval kingdom that evolved from the Banate of Bosnia (1154–1377). Its extensive, region-wide socio-economic, political and cultural influence was of great effect in the later development of medieval Balkan states, and Balkan history in general. Bosnia enjoyed de facto independence in the 13th and 14th centuries despite nominal subjection to Hungary. Its difficult terrain and remoteness enabled the Bosnians to maneuver between their two powerful neighbours, Hungary and Serbia, usually managing to avoid subordination to either. Several capable rulers allowed Bosnia briefly to play the role of great power in the 14th century. After 1290, Bosnia enjoyed virtual independence from Hungary and gained significant territory in Dalmatia at Serbia's expense.
