The tour, which lasts around three hours, will take you away from the usual tourist attractions and give you the opportunity to get to know “iconic Basel” – and enjoy it slowly. You will visit four establishments in total. They all do things their own way. And are sure to win you over. Their concepts are different and this is precisely why locals love them. You’ll be surprised at the delicious foods awaiting you. It’s worth allowing enough time, and it wouldn’t hurt to skip breakfast either.

We arrived late and had to catch up with our guide, Roy Fisher, who was extremely gracious and spoke excellent English. He was very entertaining and interesting and gave us an unusual tour with a lot of intriguing information that you would not find in a guide book. A very worthwhile experience. Roy was carrying a big folder of photographs to complement and illustrate his stories. A very good way to feel that you understand the town and its history in an intimate way.

Excellent service. Here amazing help and support. Many thanks to Swiss Epic Tours. Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. We travelled with two six year olds and lots of luggage and despite the stairs up to the elevator this was one of the nicest places we stayed in the four weeks

Myself and 4 friends spent the day with Colin visiting 4 vineyards, 3 in France and 1 in Germany. We tasted 27 different wines and had a lunch stop in the middle. Each place we visited was different so we learnt something new at each stop. Colin was knowledgeable and gave us plenty of additional information along the way. He was also really easy going and a pleasure to talk to. I would definitely recommend this tour ????
