I have been visiting Gomukh since 1987. I have already been there 10 times. It is a must visit place for Nature Lovers. Here Gods come down to meet you. Majestic Bhagirath 1, 2 and 3 peaks stand tall. I insist that everyone stays in Bhujbasa while on the way to Gomukh glacier the next day and again stay at Gomukh till about 5 pm, to take the photographs of sunset when the last rays of sunlight beam on Bhagirath peaks. You can stay either at GMVN bungalow or at Famous Lal Baba Ashram and both are cosy, however at Lal Baba Ashram, you get a personal touch. God bless. Regards. Yamunotri temple belongs to Devi Yamuma, sister of Lord Yamraj. The temple is one of the four dham temples in Uttrakhand. One has to walk 6 kms to reach the hilltop were the temple is situated. The walk is fairly steep. Senior citizens can take a palki or a pony. We took pony for our parents. There is a natural hot water spring at the top were one can take bath before going to the temple. Hygiene level at the pond is alright. Must visit temple.

One of Great Dhaam of Lord Shiva, between the nature and the lap of Himalaya, it is a big center of faith and spirituality. High mountains around you attract your mind, and mountains Varunavat directly on the head, you are looking at one up. The holy river #Ganga flowing through the temple and with the chirping of birds around you it seems that all this is telling you every moment "Heaven Is There".

Its Heaven on earth. If you are fit and moderately active then its easy for you. Visited during 9 - 12th March 2021 to see view from the both world - Snow & Greenery. For solo traveler / experience silence, deep nature & freedom, i recommend to hire guide cum cook from base village who will arrange Tent, Food, Pony and everything you need. Its also cheap. Dayara resort at Barsu introduced guide cum cook Deepak, who was aware of up & downs of every corner of Dayara. Recommended route is Barsu - Bharnala camp - Dayara camp - Bakaria top to Gui camp - Raithal. Or Reverse route. Its unforgettable moments of life.
