Sri Masilamaniswarar Temple in Thirumullaivoyal is one of the ancient Shiva temples dating back by 1500+ years. The temple is approachable on the Avadi road - few 100m from the main road. This temple is one of the 276 Paadal Petra Sthalam temples. The main deity - Linga is big and said to that it has a scar because of the then king's sword hit the Linga by mistake. The scar on the Linga is filled and closed with sandalwood paste all through a the year except one day - Sadaya nakshatra during the month of March-April. The King begged pardon and was blessed by Lord Shiva. During difficult times, the Lord offered to help the king and even Nandi sits in opposite direction in an attempt to help the king to defeat dacoits. The Goddess is called Kodiyidai Nayagi - and the place is one of the Sakthi origins - known for Kriya Shakthi. It took around 20 minutes to go around the temple and have pleasant dharshan.

The temple is on hill top which is connected by steps (350+) and also by hill road . This is called Arupadai Veedu near chennai to Tirupathi road .. One of the finest temple and atmosphere is filled with reverence and chantings Lord Murugan married valli at this place

This is one of the shiva temple on the banks of river poondi in thondai mandalam region which has more than 25 shivan temples. The lord is shiva worshipped as vaseeswarar also called pasurnathar in lingam form. The goddess is Parvathi worshipped as pasupathinayaki. This is a padal petra sthalam. This is on the way to the famous Thiruvalangadu shivan temple and is open from morning 6 to evening 8.30. There is a srichakram installedby sankarar in the shiva sanctum.

This is the 14th sthalam in thondai mandalam region and is a padal petra sthalam. This is a Agni sthalam in thondai mandalam region. The main deity is thipuranthakeswarar swamy and goddess Parvathi is thipuranthaka nayagi, and the uthsavar is somaskanthar, the 2nd temple next to madurai. The god is believed to be the one who destroyed tripuras and the place is also called tiruvikolam also called koovam. The village ,the lake near by and the river were all named after this as koovam. The lingam is red in colour when any untoward took place while it's crystal white otherwise. The natarajar here performed the kathal thandavam is one more speciality of the place. There is a separate shrine for ganapath, murugan and bairavar who is without his vahanam here.
