February 13, 2022 Agatha Simes

San Diego embodies laid-back California culture, complete with a Boardwalk, surfing communities, and outstanding Mexican food. Breathe in the fresh ocean air at Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, then gobble down a fresh fish taco at a La Jolla seafood joint. The naval aircrafts at the USS Midway Museum will have you standing at attention. A free Sunday concert at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion is the perfect way to unwind after a Saturday night bar-hop in the thumping Gaslamp Quarter.

This was a great place! We spent a week right on the beach boardwalk. It’s a beautiful location right along the ocean. It’s great for walking, bike riding and scooter rentals. Belmont park right on the boardwalk is a fun place to visit.

San Diego Bay Walk

This time we cruised into San Diego on the Princess Cruise Lines. We walked from the cruise terminal to Seaport Village/Hyatt Regency area. This is a splendid walk by the bay. We saw the skyline, Midway, military statues, tuna fishing fleet, and more. The wal is very pleasant.

Petco Park

Named the #1 Ballpark in America by USA Today in 2016! Petco Park is spectacular in every way, combining the best sight lines in baseball with breathtaking views of San Diego. Architecturally magnificent, it celebrates the sea, the sky, the natural beauty, cultural diversity and unique spirit of our region. We’ve made a concerted effort to not only make this the best ballpark in America, but also one of the best entertainment destinations. Located in downtown San Diego, its surrounded by a plethora of bars and restaurants and is within walking distance of the Convention Center, Seaport Village and Waterfront Park.

We’ve been to at least 10 other MLB stadiums and I have to say this and the Giants stadium are the two nicest. We viewed the game from 4 different locations in the stadium and all were great views. There are lots of activities for the kids out in center field and if weather is good, sit out on the grass hill in center and the view is awesome. I hope the Oakland A’s new stadium is half as nice as this one!
