The 10 Best Shopping in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg District

January 23, 2022 Velvet Mowry

A captivating contrast of old and new, Luxembourg City's past is celebrated by its World Heritage status; its present sway by its position as headquarters for several significant European institutions. Small enough to explore on foot, this compact city offers a wealth of attractions, including dramatic promontory The Bock, underground passages in Petrusse Casemates, Palace of the Grand Dukes and the National Museum. Countless banks on Boulevard Royal, once a fortress moat, hint at the duchy's wealth.

Am Tunnel (BCEE Batiment Rousegaertchen)

Last minute activity at the end of our holiday, and I’m so glad we went! The exhibition/gallery was free of charge and showcased great pieces of work. Even if you don’t enjoy art museums or galleries you will enjoy and appreciate the art work on display. Defo recommend if you have an hour or two to spare!

Les Rives de Clausen

Reviewed By Survivory - Luxembourg City, Luxembourg

Plenty of water holes in a converted former factory area. Good mix of restaurants and bars. In the evening it is not the place to bring small children but during day/dinner time that is not a problem either. Very nice for a glass outside if the weather is good. During night time the place turns into a party area with a rather young audience. Every now and then one bar closes to be replaced by a new one.

Villeroy & Boch Factory Outlet

Reviewed By Z1887MZmarios

Went to the Villeroy + Boch Factory Outlet in Luxembourg on my way back from Switzerland to the UK. My Daughter asked me to go as she has just moved into a new house and needs china. Firstly it was very easy to find from the main motorway, but the best thing was the value of the items purchased. I can absolutely recommend this to anyone wanting very good quality china , at very reasonable prices. The bonus was that they are open till 6pm....even on a Saturday evening......very good news for my Daughter!!!!
