Next continue to "look" at the main gate of Jakarta during the Sunda Kingdom (Hindu Buddhist era), Islam era, and also Dutch era. Its called Sunda Kelapa. We will explore this harbour by boating with the local people's traditional boat. Another place that we will visit is China town to "look" at oldest Chinese temple here. And walking tour by visiting local market (wet market) that sell fresh agriculture products, fish, and food. Enjoy the walking tour in China town and experience to exploring this part with bajay (tuktuk).

Ratih did an excellent job of arranging our trip. Her English is great and she’s a good conversationalist. We were picked up at our front door and well taken care of during the entire day by her. Our favorite part was visiting the volcano. We hiked down to one of the craters and loved the fresh air and exercise. It’s a gorgeous location. The COVID-19 pandemic, of course, impacted the sites we visited - some positively and some less so. There were hardly any tourists, so we felt like we had most places to our selves. This was a particular treat at the volcano where we felt like we were in the wilderness, rather than the bustle of normal times. The luwak coffee farm was nice, though quiet. Ratih did a good job of translating how they make the coffee. The best part was holding a civet cat. Normally food would be offered there, but during the pandemic it was not on offer. No matter. Ratih took us to a fun restaurant instead and we stopped at a few local fruit stands to sample local produce. The hot springs resort was most impacted by the pandemic. The resort has channeled hot spring water to create a series of pools where one can soak their feet. An extra fee will allow you to swim in a warm pool with water falls and get a back massage. Normally there are amusement rides for children but those are closed due to COVID and so are most food stalls. I imagine it would be a lot of fun, especially for kids, if we had visited before the pandemic and if it hadn’t started to rain. :) Overall, a wonderful trip. Ratih made everything so easy. We recommend it.

I was nicely surprised to see new connecting terminals quick trains. Good security and pleasant areas to wait. Carriage is spacious and modern. Not very busy during the day but maybe I was just on Airport at a specific time. It would be great if this train would connect each major part of Jakarta. Altogether big improvement and upgrade to existing Airport.

We spent a short stay in Bandung (2 days 1 night) for our small team outing. We are very lucky to have Egar to arrange for our trip, making these 2 days full of interesting experience. Day 1 - we took the off-road adventure in Gunung Putri, going thru the rough track deep into the forest and feel the great of nature. This is so much fun! You should try this! Day 2 – we got a change to explore Bandung for sightseeing and culinary tour, while Egar shared his knowledge of Bandung in the past. Egar is a fantastic guide with service excellence attitude. Highly recommended! Thanks to him, we enjoy our remarkable stay in Bandung.
