The church has a lot of history that is definitely worth seeing. The entry fee is quite small and can be combined with the chained library, librije COVID rules are sensibly applied

A small, well restored and nicely decorated synagogue, built in 1857. For nearly a century it was the centre of Jewish life in Aalten, until World War II. During the war, it was robbed and used as an ammunition depot. After the war, the synagogue fell further into disrepair. After restoration, the synagogue was reconsecrated in 1986 with a solemn Hanukkah celebration.
