Lodz is not an obvious city. An industrial past and perhaps still finding its future. But yet it is probably one of the most thought provoking cities I've ever been to. My guide was superb, Incredibly knowledgeable and easy company and also really brought the history to life. The story of Lodz is a haphazard series of events that it would be easy to loose the thread of but things were so well explained and organised,, that this never happened. Piotrkowska has a unique grandess and quaintness at once. Lodz may be a rough diamond but it is real hidden gem that was brought to life. Great tour and brilliantly delivered. With thanks for a great experience.

We had a private tour to austwitz With Poland travel. We were picked up from our hotel in jelenia gora in a private, comfortable, modern van and were driven four hours to austwitz by our polite and friendly driver Michel. Our driver spoke very good English and we had a couple of stops for breaks on the way there and Back. Going to austwitz is very worth it. Visiting the birkenau camp I was surprised to find It’s such a beautiful and peaceful location where such evil and atrocities happened, makes me aware that all those poor beautiful souls are at rest now, thank god. I fully recommend this company. From the secretary Natalia who is very professional and clear in her emails, to the very good driver and transport.

It had been 25 years since we had seen the beautiful Medevil Krakow Square in the Old City. It’s charm was still there and even enhanced. I felt like we were in a little “Prague” and the European charm of that famous city. There were beautifully dressed horses and decorated carriages to take one a romantic ride around the massive square. Vendors from all over the region were assembled in charming booths selling their hand crafts and wares. Chestnuts were roasting and brats and kielbasa sausages were being grilled along with mulled wine being served and the aroma was just enticing. All the stores and street lights were festivally lit to give such an enchanting atmosphere. Dress warmly. It was 24 degree Fahrenheit. The next day we took the bus to the salt mines. It is an all day affair and extremely interesting just factually and historically. I would not miss this tour or do it on your own. It is very much worth it. The palace is also worth the time. The lines were not too long considering the Christmas Markets were in town. Krakow is very charming. It was not bombed during WWII and so all the buildings are original. The town was used for the Nazi headquarters during the war. It is a great town to travel to other areas to explore by bus or train. Poland is extremely friendly to Americans. They are fun. Love to sing and dance and quite welcoming.
