I recently moved to Santa Marta with my wife where we can enjoy the beautiful Sierra Nevada and what it has to offer. Going up the sierra nevada to minca to this antique coffee farm in the middle of the jungle is an amazing experience as well as visiting the local beer brewery at the farm whose secret is the water from the Sierra Mountain. What an amazing trip. The crew was so much fun and informative. Luis and Jason spoke excellent English which made the trip so much easier. The beaches and landscaping are incredible. Lunch was cooked right on the boat so it doesn’t get any more fresh than that. I enjoyed the trip so much and had to take another trip 2 days later and will be taking another trip next week. This boat and crew is a “must do” while in Santa Marta

We used Bukap Travels twice during our visit to Santa Marta and would highly recommend them to others. Diva guided us through Tayrona, we were impressed with her knowledge of the area and she kept a good pace for us to follow. If you go on the Tayrona your, bring small bills or change so you can purchase popsicles along the way. Juan Carlos drove us to our hotel and Cartagena which allowed us to learn more about the area and unwind. We enjoyed the embedded history lessons throughout the drive. During our travels, some areas were blocked off and Juan Carlos handled everything seamlessly. We made it to our destination safely and on time.

We will meet at the Marina of Santa Marta at 9:30 am. We depart 10 am sharply on Sonata boat Sonata is a 58' cutter rigged ketch built in 1979 in Taipei, Taiwan. These ships are famous for their outstanding interior woodwork using asian teak and mahogany. With plenty of deck space she makes for a comfortable cruiser to sip rum on, very apt as she now sails the same path the pirates did not too many years ago. We will motor up wind to a Tayrona beach where we will anchor and spend the day swimming, snorkeling, SUP boarding, Kayaking and relaxing. 1 drink will be provided per person. Additional drinks are available for purchase. In the afternoon wind permitting, we will sail downwind back to the marina while enjoying the beautiful sunset Santa Marta is famous for. For those who are interested in learning how a sailboat sails this is a great intro to sailing. We should be back between 5pm- 6pm. Please keep in mind the sailboat moves in the water.
