Pittsburgh Water Steps

Reviewed By davehT7348GN - Toronto, Canada

Everyone took off their shoes and walked the steps. The water was warm already in May. There were kids of all ages from toddlers to teenagers and everyone was delighted and enjoying the water. Great family stop for a relaxing time. We walked along the river after the ball game and came across the water steps by chance. The view was beautiful as the sun was setting and the light was reflecting off of the downtown buildings. You can take a ferry over to state point park, and there are kayak rentals close by.

Southern Pennsylvania World War II Memorial

Reviewed By PleasureSean - Las Vegas, United States

I stopped by this Memorial as I was passing by after checking out the Mr. Rogers sculpture nearby and I'm glad I did. It's a great blend of the big history of the war tied in with the strong role Pittsburgh played in the effort along with personal stories of locals who fought in various aspects of the war, including the significant role women and black soldiers played. Well worth 5-10 minutes of your time to be reminded of the hard road Our ancestors paved to get here.
