This place is connected with one of the old traditions of Soviet cosmonautics. In 1973-1979 Soviet cosmonauts made a small contribution to the landscaping of the city of Zhezkazgan - for memory of the successful return to earth they arrested pine on cosmonauts alley . In 1991 this tradition was renewed, 20 tablets with the names of cosmonauts planting pines were installed.

Nice monument which replaced the monument of Lenin. The monument is located in front of Akimat building (city governor). Across the road you can find cascade fountains.
