Crown Center has been a must-go-to place for my family every Christmas since my kids were little and they’re in their 30’s now. The decorations are stellar, they have the best Santa in Kansas City and the Mayor’s Christmas Tree looks amazing with the playland and the ice skating rink around it. There are musicians and carollers too. You can go see the shops anytime and there’s a children’s theater there called The Coterie that we’ve taken school groups on field trips to see, but my favorite time is Christmas.

From its early revitalization by artists and a few restauteurs, this are is becoming a constantly evolving center of kc art, culture and eating. New restaurants, with new cuisines, baristas, breweries and music venues it has grown from a first Friday destination to a " go to" spot anytime for enjoying, food, drink and art.
