Lavi's cooking

This introduction to Indian cooking will unravel the secrets to cooking with spices and show you techniques for getting the most flavor out of each dish. After taking this class you’ll be able to create a complete Indian meal. The knowledge you’ll gain can be applied to any dish that utilizes these core Indian spices.

We had a great time learning to cook Indian food with Lavi, ably assisted by her husband. It was kind of a combined cooking class/demonstration, but we did get our hands dirty with chopping and stirring, and we learnt a lot from watching the experts too. Our kids (aged 10 and 12) had a great time too, apart from when Lavi kept telling them that now they know how to cook, they can cook for their parents when they get home (yeah, right ????). We cooked chai, pakoras, palak paneer, dal, chapatis and more – so much food we didn’t have a hope of eating it all, delicious though it was. Lavi also gave us a lot of useful information about ingredients, particularly the various spices we used, and tips to make our curries back home taste more authentic. She also emailed us recipes of all the dishes we’d learnt and many more. A relaxed and enjoyable evening that I would thoroughly recommend to any family visiting Jodhpur – or anyone else who’d like to learn the secrets of Rajasthani cuisine.

Osian Mahavira Jain temple ,an important pilgrimage of the Oswal Jain community, is very close to Sachiya Mata Mandir. After Visiting Sachiya Mata mandir, we procedd to this temple. Very Impressive architecture, clean , a peacefully walk around main temple and small temples of Jain Tirthankaras around it is pleasant experience indeed..t was built during the Gurjara-Pratihara dynasty by King Vatsaraja in 783 AD

Bullet Baba Temple

Reviewed By LetsGoSightseeing - Noida, India

This was a spontaneous find on our Rajasthan road-trip. We were researching for TTD between Udaipur & Jodhpur, & this popped up. Now, India has a LOT of temples but this was truly unique. It's dedicated to a local youth, Om Banna, who met with an accident & passed away. The police towed his bike from the accident site to the police station but the next morning, the bike was found back at the accident site. This happened a couple of times. It was considered divine & the site & bike were consecrated. Now a proper temple has been made where locals worship Om Banna (also called Bullet Baba) & his bike. Interestingly, alcohol is the offering made to Bullet Baba!
