The 10 Best Photography Tours in Ouarzazate, Souss-Massa-Draa Region

January 28, 2022 Timmy Ribble

The tiny Moroccan town of Ouarzazate is a caramel-colored oasis set against a clear blue African sky. Be inspired by Ait Benhaddou, a beautifully preserved Kasbah that's a UNESCO World Heritage site, or walk in the starry path of celebrities by taking a tour of one of Ouarzazate's two movie studios. Tour the surrounding dunes on camel-back, or simply bask in the quiet bustle of the bargaining sessions at local markets.

I really enjoyed my trip with Hiking Nomads in Morocco. My friend had recommended the 3days tour and it was just as described. As a female solo traveler I felt comfortable the entire time as the Hiking Nomads team took good care of me, even when I fell sick. Besides the beautiful landscape and the great accommodations (that was much better than that of other travelers who had chosen a different travel agency but paid the same price!), I also got the most delicious breakfast in all of Morocco. All my meals were prepared fresh by the family. Overall a great experience in a family environment.

This was a really fun adventure but also really exhausting and at the same time totally worth it. Our driver Isam is a nice guy and all our tour guides were really funny. Thanks to Karim, Abu Islam, Said and all others for the cool experience. Only one a little negative thing was that the door of our tent was broken and we couldn't close it and at night is getting really cold and windy. But for one night is not big deal. At the camp we had a lot of fun with music and bonfire.

I booked a four days trip with another agency but Red city tour were in charge of the transport for us. I wanted to spend one night in Zagora Sand Dunes and then one night in the Sahara desert. The remaining night was spent in the lovely B&B. Nordine, the driver is fantastic. A skillful, friendly and a helpful driver. We had numerous stops to refresh and stretch our legs. The whole trip was fun and mind blowing landscapes. It would take me hours if I had to recount all the amazing places we visited along the way. Thank you Nordine for making the trip fun and for keeping us safe. Hope to make this trip again as a family in the future inchallah. Hafida

Yasyn (our guide) is very kind and friendly. He speaks English very well and knows a lot about the surroundings. With Yasyn we did the following: the Ouzoud waterfalls, drove a quad, went to the Ourika valley and a walking tour through Marrakesh. Honestly I can’t say what I liked the most! Everything with Yasyn is enjoyable for fair prices.
