With this show you get everything from comedy, choreography, and lots of good magic. All ages are amused by magic and Terry Evanswood brings the best in slide of hand and major illusions to the stage. With 2 stunning and talented female assistants it’s like a Vegas production. Admission is always free. Donations are welcome and are used to keep this old schoolhouse in good repair. Rocky Branch is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. During the Mountain Music events, our kitchen serves a simple menu of snacks and drinks. A fresh pot of coffee is always brewed. Nachos and popcorn are favorites of the kids! A daily special is often on offer for a very reasonable price. Favorites include beans and cornbread or chili. Friday Night Jams Each old schoolroom is dedicated to a type of music or a group of pickers and grinners. Friday night jam sessions are informal and are limited to acoustic instruments only. Visiting musicians are invited to bring their instrument and join in. Audience members are encouraged to wander from room to room and hear what each room has to offer.

We were right up front for this wonderful nostalgia trip back to the days of Berry Gordy and the heyday of Detroit. The singers were excellent, perfect intonation and tight harmonies, plus great costumes. The guys were light-hearted and smiling throughout, even while executing complicated choreography under hot lights. The female singer’s voice is ethereal and her many gowns and sparking jewelry were beautiful. The duet of Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell’s “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” gave me chills, and my eyes were misty during their tribute to Our Maker. The staging, light effects and musicians were perfect. What a memorable show!

Pull-Tight Players Theatre

In 1968, a 16 year-old Battle Ground Academy student by the name of Vance Ormes gathered several of his parents’ friends and formed the Pull-Tight Players in Historic Downtown Franklin, with a debut production of Thornton Wilder’s Our Town. Through the years, the Pull-Tight Players garnered a reputation for excellence in community theatre through performances in locations as varied as an old jailhouse on Bridge Street, a Holiday Inn, two schools, a Main Street loft, and even an outdoor space at Carter’s Court before finding permanent residence in its current location on Second Avenue in 1985. As befits Pull-Tight’s own colorful history, this charming historic building has served as host over the years to its own litany of tenants, from a church and a grocery store to a restaurant and antique shop, before becoming home to Pull-Tight’s special brand of entertainment. Today, Pull-Tight celebrates 45 years of providing quality theatre and arts programs to the Williamson County and greater Nashville community through its six mainstage shows each year, as well as its Junior Youth Actors Guild program. We are proud to be a vital part of this community, offering quality entertainment that uplifts, provokes thought, and brings joy to our audiences. Thank you for your continued support of Pull-Tight Theatre and the arts in Williamson County.

I live in East TN and have been to every theater there. I have seen them all. I stumbled on the Twitty show by accident-I needed to use up a free hotel night before the coupon expired and ended up in Pigeon Forge-My wife & I are extremely fortunate to have be in the audience January 9 for Travis James's stunning performance of Twitty, Neil Diamond Johnny Cash and many other greats-Even Prince. All his impressions were good but some where out of this world Great. More importantly Travis captivated the audience & I assure you everyone was Entertained beyond any expectation !!! Note this theater lacks the glitter and fancy stuff the other Pigeon Forge theaters have but the seats are very comfortable & Travis will get you up for dancing-trust me it is FUN !! Many in the audience are return customers & my wife & I will certainly be back. Travis is the best entertainer around, so very professional and warm. You will love him!
