May 8, 2022 Layne Dawes

Nearly perfect year-round weather and several impeccably designed championship courses have made Phoenix one of the top golf destinations in the world. But there's more to this mild-mannered metropolis than pristine greens and tee times. The greater Phoenix area also offers visitors an array of impressive cultural attractions. Visit the internationally renowned Heard Museum for an in-depth look at Native American history or peruse the fine collection at the Phoenix Museum of Art. Enjoy a ballet performance at the ornate Orpheum Theater or or catch a concert at the state-of-the-art Comerica Theatre. Family-friendly attractions, first-rate shopping, dining and entertainment, and spectacular recreational activities make Phoenix a must-visit destination.

8 retired men played this on a golf junket and thoroughly enjoyed our entire experience. Staff great, nice restaurant and a beautiful golf course. The course is very playable for even high handicappers with large greens with lots of nuances. Plenty of trees and vegetation but very few water issues. Had a great time and will return

Arizona Horses (Ponderosa Stables and South Mountain Stables)

Ponderosa Stables wasn't our first choice, but the first choice never returned our call. The only reason Ponderosa wasn't our first choice was that at this time they were only offering one hour rides, My wife is an experienced rider and we were hoping for a longer ride. At any rate, we thoroughly enjoyed our ride through the scenic Arizona desert. Bailey was a great wrangler, engaging with all the riders, pointing out the scenery and points of interest and demonstrating her amazing horsemanship skills. We will definitely be back for the dinner ride next time we are in Phoenix.

Mormon Trailhead

Hiked this trail on a Sunday afternoon and it was very busy! The first portion is a pretty good uphill hike and takes about an hour. From there you can continue to fat man’s pass or hidden valley tunnel... either way it is a loop so you don’t miss any of the beauty! We went toward hidden valley tunnel first, and realized most people were going against us. The views are beautiful! The rock formations, tunnels are amazing! There are some areas where you will be climbing rocks or sliding down them but it is all doable! Took my husband and I just over 2 hours to make the 4.25 mile loop. There were a lot of kids out there too.

We loved our hike this morning and we were able to see lots of wildlife - a pack of wolves, rabbits, and quail. This has lots of rocky trails but people with mountain bikes were also along for an adventure. There are level paths and some of the path is steep. Take water!! We loved every minute while we were out there. There are also beautiful views of the city when you get to the top.

Beautiful course and well taken care of. They accommodates my bachelor party group with no issues. Service was great! It is a very busy course, so be ready for a slow pace, but the view and layout is worth it! Will definitely play again there next visit!
