Granby is situated along U.S. Highway 40 in Middle Park about 85 miles (137 km) northwest of Denver and 14 miles (23 km) southwest of Rocky Mountain National Park. As of the 2010 census the town had a population of 1,864.

Best guided horseback ride we have ever taken. Our 6 year old twins had their own horses that were gentle. Our guide was sweet and local to the area. These horses were the most reaponsive trail ride horses we have ridden before. Scenery and views are amazing. Oir girla got to love on horses at the fence for a long time after the ride.

3 miles or so round trip around the lake. We went early fall and one side of the lake was covered in snow. Nice hike without too much beetle kill everywhere, especially on one side of the lake. Moose in the area. Great place for a picture. And the drive in along Lake Granby is beautiful.

Amazing service, they greet you at your car with a cart and free bottle water and ice. outstanding challenging golf in a pristine environment. Often overlooked by its big sister, Grand Elk is a course not to be missed. Narrow fairways and long par 3’s with lots of sand & water. You must watch your included GPS carefully. After a perfect weather front 9, the wind picked up on the back making it interesting. They have had problems with A few of the greens after a strange warm then cold spring. Overall a great golf outing. Hole 19 for a beverage at their new outside bar area.

We were at Granby for Spring Break 2019 after visiting Winter Park at New Years 2018. I can not tell you how vastly different the two areas are. If you are a beginner to intermediate skier, I would recommend Granby. There is enough terrain to keep you entertained and the lines were typically 5 minutes long to get up the lift. We have already bought a season pass for the 19/20 season as we are coming twice. The pass right now for kids is only $169 or the equivalent of a day at Winter Park. The parking is right in front of the lodge and the longest walk was about 5 mins. We did not take lessons but, the terrain is great to learn on as the trails are not overrun like WP. The cost is significantly less at Granby than WP. While lunch is expensive it is convenient and cheaper than WP. We stayed at Mountainside via RCI and it was ski in ski out. We had a blast at Granby Ski and loved it so much we are going back again at New Years and Spring Break. If you are a great skier you would probably be bored at Granby. I don't have any experience with lessons at Granby but, think you would have a better teacher/student ratio at Granby although WP had some awesome instructors.
