We rented a 4 person UTV for an afternoon of fun with our two teenage boys. Great time in Jericho Park. The UTV was in great condition and the rental staff and owner were very hospitable and knowledgeable. I’ve already recommended to another family. Will do again someday.

Mt. Washington Auto Road

Drive yourself or take a guided tour on the historic eight-mile scenic road to the top of Mount Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast. Operations are always weather permitting. Be sure to visit our website for the current "Road Status." First opened in 1861, the Mt. Washington Auto Road is America's oldest man-made attraction.

If you have good weather (as we did) then the views are nothing short of spectacular! We did the drive up option for the last "Sunrise" trek of the season. Our first time there we had no idea what to expect. As said in other reviews, driving up is NOT for the faint of heart! We started going up at 5 AM so it was still dark. There were moments when we were literally 6-8 inches from the edge of the mountain and there are NO GUARDRAILS so all I can say was we took our time. The only complaint I have was with some of the other drivers on the road going up. Either they had done this multiple times and knew what to expect or they were just whacked out because they would tailgate and have their hi-beams glaring right into your eyes. I had to pull over onto one of the small overlooks that dot the way up in order for one guy in a pickup that had an obvious death wish to go past me. I was going at the prescribed 20-25 miles an hour mind-you. I can't fault the attraction for lame brains so that is why I still give 5 stars. It's definitely worth the experience of driving up at least once in your lifetime and then they offer the cog ride up or you can go with the local guided tour that takes a van up. As they say, "Just do it!" :)

Presidential Rail Trail

Reviewed By Bden99 - Manchester, United States

The section that bans ATV’s runs from Whitefield to Gorham runs a total of 20.3 miles. We rode the trail in two sections out and back over the course of two days. The trail is probably best ridden on a mountain bike, though you would get by with a hybrid. There are a few short rough stretches but looks like maintenance has been done is some problem areas where beavers have been busy building dams. The scenery is outstanding throughout, with views of the presidential range, waterfalls, beaver ponds, and wildlife. I stopped to do some fishing along the way which was a bonus. If you plan a long trip take whatever you need because there are long stretches without crossing roads or seeing other people.

Gorham Moose Tours

Join us as we take you on a 3 hour tour (yes, just like Gilligan's Island) in one of our comfortable tour buses. Enjoy a moose / wildlife tour on the North Country's longest-running tour with experienced wildlife guides that know just where to search and find MOOSE! It is illegal to shine lights in order to spot moose or other animals, but we have permission from the state of NH, so our buses are equipped with spot lights to find and view MOOSE after dark. Night time is the ideal time to view moose, but also the most dangerous as they blend in with their surroundings and dark backgrounds. That's why we recommend letting us do the driving and searching for you! When possible and safe, we allow visitors to disembark the bus and get a closer look at these beautiful animals. Our success rate for 2013 was 96% and in one tour we were fortunate to see 23 MOOSE! Our tours run from the end of May until the end of September in order to increase our chances of seeing our wonder friends, the MOOSE. Please understand that MOOSE like all animals can be unpredictable and there is no guarantee of seeing a moose, but we will make every effort to make your trip enjoyable! So make Gorham a destination on your next trip and take a MOOSE TOUR! Remember to bring the appropriate clothing for the weather and don't forget your camera or video to capture your adventure. We hope to see you soon!
