Chesapeake Beach Railway Trail

Nice easy trail for all ages and dogs as well. At one point it forks, both trails dead end, so you need to double back. There are benches along the way if you want to sit and take in the views. It is a little difficult to find. Park in the Tot Lot, if facing the playground turn around, you will see a white fence,go down steps so you are on the other side of fence and turn right. After a few minutes you will see the sign for trail and boardwalk.

This was my family and I first time at DMV and we really enjoyed ourselves. It was professional but warm and welcoming at DMV and we will be there again and again. I will suggest this is a place you would want to go. W even had our very own person who was out there with us just in case. I cant remember the gentleman name but he was very cool and was great on the jet ski! Thanks DMV

Breezy Point Beach

Reviewed By COTraveller33 - Silver Spring, United States

Stopped in today for something to do during spring break with the kids. Short (1 hr) drive from Silver Spring. Easy paved walk from parking lot to the beach. The parking lot is small, so plan for that. The beach is relatively small - and broken into two sections, divided by a small creek. Be mindful that there are a few non-venomous snakes around the creek and the far rocks. The key draws here are shallow, gentle water, shaded portions of the beach and fossilized shark tooth hunting. Older kids / teens can walk way out (100+ yards) into the bay and only be waist deep. Pros: short walk Cons: No facilities or picnic tables Would recommend: Yes Would re-patronize: Soon
