Las Pozas Azules

We went the first Monday of November, and the water was very beautiful blue color, very clear. Almost no people. There are 3 parts. The lower part you walk in as you enter is quite developed, the upper part with 5 pools is less so. Once you get to the very top crossing a small bridge, there are authorized volunteer guides offering free tours( we gave a tip at the end) into the wilder completely undeveloped part. So the reviews complaining that it's too touristy, you guys, just didn't explore far enough. If you don't see guides, ask for one. The place is strikingly beautiful, the pictures don't do it justice. The time of the year we visited there were a million of butterflies all around. A very refreshing paradise. A must! We took a combi from Taxco, it cost us 27 MXN ( about 1.5$) each way, 40 min ride. The drivers were very nice, stopping at a scenic waterfall view so people could take pictures. There are food stalls in the park, bathrooms, and changing rooms. We really relaxed and hung out there for more than 3 hrs, I think. If you're in a hurry, you'd need up to 1.5 hrs depending if you want to see all 3 parts of the park

Went to a playoff game here. Stadium was real nice, beers were cheap. 40-60 pesos for 2 bottles. Mexican baseball is long tho, and most fans didn’t show up until the 5th inning. I would recommend going. I’d probably show up an hour after game start time because it was about 4 hours for 9 innings when we went.

Plaza Principal

We enjoyed seeing and strolling thru this city center square. In the center is a lovely gazebo bandstand. This can be a busy place when the tour buses come in to visit the city. BOTTOM LINE: The plaza is nicely landscaped with many shade trees and sitting benches. The plaza has many shops and restaurants around. across the street is the Comala the historic stately Catholic church. In one of the plaza's corners are 3' high colorful letters spelling out the city name "Comala". It s fun area for photo and selfie taking. In addition, it is a fun place to just sit and relax and do some people watching. There are several mobile merchants & vendors showing their wears strolling the plaza. The are not overly pushy. Many stores, restaurants and sites to see in the area. There is a taxi area along one site of the plaza. MY RATING: 9/10
