Make reservations first! Tables are spaced out. Flights of beer are great and so is the Beer Can Chicken, Beer Gouda soup, Fish n Chips, and Lemon Tabasco Chicken, and the bread pudding and other dessert. Large photo on wall of the Phantom Canyon. Great service from our female waiter on Thurs as she quickly brought be some soup and toast due to dropping blood sugar. They also sell t-shirts etc. Wheelchair accessible with parking across the street in a pay lot but also free street parking. Highly recommend this establishment for a fun evening with good beer and food! :)

The Golden Bee

The Golden Bee is famous for freshly prepared pub food, and yards of the finest ales from an extensive collection of English and Irish drafts. Enjoy a hearty selection of snacks, appetizers and the true English tradition of fish and chips, a Reuben sandwich, or a selection of pot pies as lively piano tunes fill the 19th century English Pub. Guests are encouraged to participate in the cheerful atmosphere by joining the nightly Ragtime piano beginning at 7:30 PM and the sing along beginning at 9:30 PM nightly, and proudly wearing their own "Bee's" that change seasonally. Located across from Broadmoor Main, in the back of International Hall at Lake Avenue. Open daily for lunch and dinner. Full menu service daily 11:30 AM to 10 PM, Pub Menu to 12 midnight, beverage service to 1:30 AM. Attire: Bermuda length shorts, dressy denim and collared shirts are required. Seasonal sport coat or blazer suggested. Please no athletic wear, sport wear, shorts, pool attire or gentlemen's hats.

We did not come to The Golden Bee for food; we came for the music. We made a bit of a mistake by coming early (7:00), as music doesn’t start til 8. We amused ourselves by ordering a yard of beer- that’s right! This thing is over 3 feet tall! It’s actually less booze than it appears as it only holds 4 pints. The crazy part is trying to drink the awkward thing without spilling! Because we were staying at the Broadmoor for our honeymoon, our server brought us a desert of our choice on the house- what a lovely and delicious gesture! We had the bread pudding made with soft pretzel topped with a boozy ice cream. I’m a bread pudding connoisseur, and this may be the most wonderful one I’ve ever had! I must compliment our server who was friendly and attentive without making us feel weird for not dining. The bar itself is beautiful with a great deal of history, and the covered patio above would be great for lunch. The food I saw coming out of the kitchen to other tables definitely made me want to return for a high end pub meal in the near future. Three cheers for fish and chips! When the piano player did arrive, he was personable and fun. I definitely highly recommend a visit to the Golden Bee! I’ll smile every time I look at my little bee sticker that’s now on my travel backpack.
