Grotta Turistica Antro del Corchia

What an amazing place. I have been in caves before but nothing like this. I would happily have spent hours there, it feels like stepping back into the dawn of the world. Our tour guide Noemi was brilliant, incredibly knowledgeable, talking about the discovery and exploration of the caves, enthusiastic and thoughtful, making sure all the group was managing, chatting to the children, and working in photo stops. You will definitely need a fleece and proper shoes with grip. It is cold but not freezing, we were all ok in shorts. As it lasts 2 Hours, It is ESSENTIAL to be reasonably fit for this; there are nearly 2000 steps, lots of the ground is uneven, some of it is slightly slippery. I wouldn’t recommend for children under age 5 unless they are very sure footed, or for anyone who finds stairs tricky. We saw one pensioner having to be escorted out after only the first set of steps. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a change from more usual tourist spots. It really is incredible. Well worth the entry fee. Had we realised how long the tour was we would have come earlier in the day so we had time to go on the various mine tours and to the museums as well.

Because of covid only the 1 hour tour was available. Very nice cave with audio tour. Next time we will try the 2 hour tour down in the cave.

every year I spend a few days at Bagno Roma, I love always finding my place at the bottom of the beach, having breakfast at the bar, talking to the owners. What I also love is the fact that at the same time no one will annoy me when I'm sitting on my deckchair. Bagno Roma, unlike many, or most, baths in Versilia is a simple place, no one has to be dressed up, we can just enjoy our precious relax time

Bagno Irene

Reviewed By billie97

We were lucky enough to to have beds and a parasol for free at Irene Beach as part of our hotel package. It's a very well kept area of the beach and the service is spot on. Every dish we tried in the restaurant was excellent, well I did sample the Warm Seafood Starter (enough for a very satisfying lunch on its own!) three times! It was delicious each time, slightly different depending on what seafood was available but always good. As was the pasta and the Tuna Salad. Of course if you fancy a change you can nip to the supermarket for something and eat that on your sunbed but the food and drink here is such good value you really don't need to.
