This state park preserves Florida's history.
Beautiful drive in, very nice historical museum explaining fort history and background, very well maintained fort. The cannons were a hit with my youngest. Gorgeous views.

We needed a little something different to do for a bit, and this was the perfect thing. My little girl had a great time playing on the different structures throughout the park. There is also a little nature walk behind the playground.

My wife and I enjoy beach walks from this park. Fernandina Beach does a marvelous job of maintaining family friendly beaches and this is one of the must-see parts of the island's beaches.

This was the first beach I discovered while building a home here for my family. I stayed and the Amelia Hotel at the Beach and often ate at Sliders before a short evening beach hike. It was a great way to end a day of construction meetings and runs to Jacksonville to meet with suppliers, etc. I still enjoy visiting this beach with my wife now that we've settled into the area.

Fun park with exercise areas, walking path, playground and views of the beautiful marsh. We also walked 2 miles of the Egan Creek Greenway and saw birdlife and alligators.

Took my daughter scouting for beach wedding locations in the Amelia Island area and came upon this gem. She and her fiancé fell in love with it. There’s a huge parking lot so no worries about finding a spot to park. There are restrooms at the edge of the parking lot before heading down the walkway to the beach. The sand is not covered in shells, so a little softer to walk on. The wedding went off smoothly and the pictures were great. There’s a cool tree at the corner of the parking lot that’s great for pictures too.

Never knew about the "original" city on Amelia Island and all the history. Great quick and easy visit and you can see the house used in the Pippi Longstocking's movie.
