Visited a few times now, the most incredible beach with the most fantastic snorkelling, forget the organised trips and just swim out to see the turtles in their own environment, very little tide to think about and crystal clear water. We were lucky enough to see a Stingray out there too this year, amazing.

Browne's Beach

Reviewed By explorcation - Florida, United States

Browne's Beach was our last stop on our beach day while visiting the island on a cruise. We rented a car and visited 8 different beaches on the island. We visited later in the day before returning to the cruise ship and it was not busy at all. There were some loungers to rent but we wanted to swim and set up our beach blanket instead. The water was calm, clear and great for swimming and snorkeling. We found a few turtles pretty quickly. There is also a shipwreck nearby but we didn't end up checking it out. This was our favorite beach for swimming and snorkeling during our visit. If you are planning a beach day and want to see video footage of this area check out our YouTube Channel Explorcation. Our Barbados Beach day includes footage from eight different beaches on the island.

A pleasant park near the center of the city of Bridgetown.

We visited the park to see the ancient Boabab tree. There are only 2 boababs in the Carribbean and they are both in Barbados. This is the bigger of the two. It is mind-blowingly enormous and awe inspiring to stand next to a 1000 yr old tree.

This riverside marina is right in the centre of town near the bridge. The Waterside pub is a nearby bar/restaurant but there are several others too. Lots of car parks close by too with historic wharves and some well restored buildings, some converted for bars and restaurants.
