Stopped by this great place on our way to Kandy! Shaminda has a wonderful collection of rare and precious gems and stones. He is super generous and knowledgeable and very much passionate about his work. Learned a lot from him and left with a brilliant new collection for a very good price. I highly recommend!

If you want to have an amazing watercolor painting with the Sri Lankan touch this is the place to go. These paintings are 100% real and will suit any room in your house. This could be the collectible from Sri Lanka that you take home after your visit here, and there is so much variety to choose from starting with railways, landscapes, city lives and Seascapes.............. If you call the number on the site, most of the time there would a good discount and its full worth the price you pay.

Hello Everyone Pethikada Paintings and craft gallery gives unique collection of crafts and mostly paintings. What’s very unique about our art is that most of them are traditional paintings. Mostly from Dambulla Cave temple and other heritage sights. And adding to that we have a wonderful collection of frescoes too. Most of paintings are done on well treated wood and we try to keep authentic nature of the paintings as much as we can. Adding further you don’t have to buy anything from us we appreciate even your visit to our place. Because as a traveler if you are interested about art and authentic traditional art of Sri Lanka we highly recommend you to visit our place so we can give you a quality idea of our country’s painting history with examples. Finally our stall is not gigantic as other galleries and craft shops around the island but we can assure you fulfilling experience if you are an art lover.
Jagath is a very talented artist who was very friendly and explained all the work he was doing. He showed us his work in stages, discussed the conferences he had attended and explained how he can create custom pieces of work and safely have them shipped abroad for us. His art work was amazing and although we did not purchase anything that day he spent a lot of time with us. Highly recommend visiting and buying something unique from here.

This visit was arranged through our hotel in Kandy and was really worth it. Mr Upali and his wife are skilled craftspeople keeping their craft alive. They are also lovely people and a delight to spend an hour with.

Free entry to the Tea Factory and museum with lovely guides taking you round and explaining how the factory works. A delightful tea room to sample the tea and buy tea and gifts from the factory. The tea room has a balcony the full length of the building overlooking Ramboda falls. Great place for photos. Next to Oak Ray hotel which also overlooks the falls (we didn't stay here, just a stop on the way. Lovely viewpoint at the hotel for more photos. Definitely worth a stop on your way from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya or Ella.

This quiet museum is a hidden gem!! Absolutely underrated by guide books! It was fascinating to see traditional tea making equipment, and learn the history. Our entrance fee included a complementary guide who was professional and spoke excellent English. We finished with a delicious cup of tea in the café overlooking great views, and buying different types of tea from the shop for our friends and family.
