Absolutely amazing experience from beginning to end with Signature Safari. We booked a 5 day safari in the Serengeti. They were so helpful from months prior to the safari, helping us to create an itinerary tailor-made to our expectations. They took care of the entire experience all the way from airport pick-up upon arrival to drop-off at our next destination after the safari. Staff members were so welcoming and kind throughout our stay, going out of their way to make our experience once in a lifetime. Accommodation chosen by the company was also top and had no complaints. In June, 2019 I sent emails to eight different Mombasa safari tour companies. Not only was Faith Chebet of Kenya Tru Nomads Tours the first to respond, her email answered the three basic questions in my initial email. Several of the other tour operators never responded and the others responded with basically a generic email that required me to then send them another one with my same basic questions. After I finally received pricing information from the other ones, and Faith sent that to me right away, I was able to compare. I liked how complete and detailed Faith’s quotes were (and she also helped me narrow down which park made the most sense given our constrained time frame), and decided to book our overnight safari with Kenya Tru Nomads for when our cruise ship was going to be docked for two days in Mombasa in November, 2020. Via CruiseCritic I ended up getting 25 other cruise passengers that were interested in doing the overnight safari. Faith communicated very efficiently and quickly with me and we all paid our minimal deposit via PesaPal (Africa’s version of PayPal, I think). I continued to email Faith because passengers would come up with different questions that they needed answered. Faith always responded quickly and thoroughly. Fast forward to March and April, 2020 and many passengers decided to cancel the cruise because of the coronavirus concerns. I was sending Faith many cancellation emails and I was hearing back from the passengers that they were getting their deposits refunded within a week. Finally, in mid-May, 2020 the cruise was canceled because of COVID-19 and the rest of us had to request our deposits be refunded. Once again, all of them were refunded to us, without issues or hassle, within one week. I am so sad that I will not be able to go on the safari in Mombasa. If the safari itself was anything like Faith‘s communication skills and thoroughness, we are going to miss a wonderful tour. So, I can’t actually review the tour, but as someone who has put many small group tours together for cruise ship passengers, Faith was a pleasure to work with and the most professional tour company person I ever dealt with. I am very sorry that I will not get to actually meet her or Kenya Tru Nomads employees in November and I am praying that the people and economy of Mombasa are able to withstand COVID-19.

We went on a one night two days safari with this company and it was so magical. We got to see so many animals, thanks to our amazing guide, Mariam. Mariam was so full of energy and on a good mood all the time, it was such a pleasure to spend those two days with her. We also had the opportunity to spend some time with Silas, our driver who is also a guide, and he was also so nice and knew everything about the park and the animals. We highly recommend the night game drive which is a complete different atmosphere from the day one and which allowed us to see more animals. Edward, the owner, was so helpful and very responsive via WhatsApp. We never got a problem with organising the trip, even from far away, he helped us book our ferry tickets to Zanzibar and arranged everything from and to Dar es Salaam. This was an incredible experience that we will never forget !! Especially because of the lions that we saw !! Thank you again, Étienne and Chloe

We Spent about an hour trying to spot animals and when we saw them it came of sudden. Elephants, warthogs, buffalos, monkeys, crocodiles, hippos, giraffes, different antelopes, various birds, hyenas and lions!! Our guides have a huge knowledge about the nature and to find different wildlife. They stop whenever the tourist wants to take a picture on any animal. The flight to Selous was great too...Great experience!!!!

The tour was executed exactly as expected. The driver was punctual, the guides came with all I needed for the trip, and they were quite accommodating. They were also accommodating to me being vegan, and the meal was better than expected honestly, and fairly filling. Special shout out to my guide Nickson, he was very knowledgeable and didn't spare any effort to explain about the mountain, it's history, and the species living there. He was quite passionate about his job. The communication with the company was also quite easy.
