This was one of the best experiences of my life. The entire tour was very well organized. I had the opportunity to visit the waterfalls the day before the Trek and then completed a 2 day, 1 night trek with the best guide and porter My guide, Eddie, was extremely patient and encouraging (I was beginner and needed to take a lot of breaks a long the way and also needed a lot of help as we climb up and down steep areas. Hanafi (the operations manager) and Yuse (his assistant) picked me up from the airport, at the base once I was done with the tour and dropped me off in my next location, and were extremely pleasant and helpful. Everything was very professionally organized and perfect. The tour was organize according to the COVID-19 protocols for Lombok island and safety was made a priority. I highly recommend Halomi Tour and Eddie as a trekking guide.

Both Sam and Sudi speak English well, though I mostly communicated with them in Bahasa Indonesia during my trip. I'd planned to climb to the Rinjani crater during the rainy season on a 1 day trip (up and back the same day), but after arriving on Lombok was advised to climb a nearby hill (Bukit Pegasingan, 2,800 meters). In short-I'm glad I did. This wasn't what I'd planned, but it worked out really well! Airport pickup was smooth. Since we had time, we visited a local village (desa sade) and kuta beach for a bit before going toward the guesthouse near Rinjani in the late afternoon. The driver, Sam, drove very well along the mountain roads and took no unnecessary risks on the road-I felt safe the entire trip. For those of you who want to climb Rinjani no matter what-they said its doable, but really unpleasant and doesn't give you much of a chance to see the caldera. I opted to give it another shot if I can make it to Lombok. Rather than climbing Rinjani, they took me to 2 nearby, beautiful waterfalls (sendang gila and tieu kelep) and Bukit Pegasingan. The climb was a challenge but didn't take more than half a day (including transportation to and from my accommodation) and offered incredible views of the villages and rice fields below. Spent 1 night in a guesthouse chosen by the guide, it was basic, but clean and had a fan, wifi, hot water, a western bathroom with a sink and shower, as well as an electric generator and good food! These guys aren't going to just take your money and run-or charge you a lot extra-they put a lot of effort into providing the best service they can, and I'll book with them again the next chance I have to climb Rinjani. The only bad thing I can say about Jonny and the day we spent with him was I wish I knew about him earlier in our trip and wish we could have spent longer with him that day and did another tour with him. Definitely our best tour in all of Bali/Lombok/Gili islands ect. Jonny is casual but full of information and so accommodating. Tetebatu is absolutely beautiful, feels like you see an inside of Lombok not full of tourists and touristy things. We got to walk amongst the rice patties and even had a go at ‘harvesting’ the rice haha. If your in Lombok I would highly recommend Jonny and his tour. Make sure you have a full day at least. Was our biggest regret we couldn’t do more with Jonny.

I sleep a night at the local village with the family and owner of Star Rinjani where the trek starts. Unfortunately I didn’t have the time to do the full trek, but I had an amazing night with the family. I got good local dinner and breakfast and a long nice chat about life in the village. I have not seen such a hospitality for a long time. All the beat wishes from here!

We had one day to visit Gili islands to snorkel. It was a busy though thoroughly enjoyable day. We were picked up from our hotel at 6.30am, driven in a private car to the harbour about 90 mins away, escorted onto a 'fast boat' with others to the Gili Islands, picked up by Reza (our snorkelling guide), taken to another harbour 5 min away, and then taken on our own boat for private snorkelling trip that lasted about 3 and a half hours that covered all the snorkelling spots in the three Gili Islands. We then were escorted back to our hotel similarly and got back to the hotel at about 6.30pm. Hady co-ordinated the day tour and kept in touch all day by WhatsApp to ensure that we were at the right place at the right time. Reza (our snorkelling guide) was great - he took underwater photographs and videos which were sent to me via google drive the next day - he helped my wife when needed - speaks good English - is very pleasant - and gave us the most amazing snorkelling experience - including a swim with a sea turtle! A couple of tips - better to sit upstairs in the fast boat otherwise its quite hot, be prepared for a short scooter ride if you start from Lombok rather than Gili T

My wife and I did the two-day trek to the summit, stopping at the crater rim after the first day. We had Sam as a guide and two porters carrying the goods. They were all FANTASTIC! Sam was a great guide and understood when we needed to take a break. The food and snacks were delicious and plentiful. One of the best treks I've ever done. Well worth it. Would highly recommend Sam and his two friends.

We went on a 2 days and 1 night trip from senaru up to the senaru crater rim. It was a absolutely beautiful experience. The way up and down were tough but worth it. The guide and porter were amazing. We had lunch, dinner, breakfast and lunch. They realy cooked for us. Thank you lots.
