I actually went to two tours (also did Rio Tempisque) with Native's Way. Our guide Gustavo was friendly and very informative, telling us about the plants birds, and of course about the wonderful volcano fumaroles, mud puddles, etc. Gustavo was a good driver, and accommodated our need to have occasional bathroom or snack stops. One suggestion to Native Way would be to be a little more clear about what to bring along; we did not need a change of clothes after the hot spring dip, as there were changing room. I would definitely book again with these folks next time I vacation in Tamarindo.

The pool training was first class giving great confidence for the following day out in the open water. Risky, yes that's the name of our instructor!, was anything but that - very professional and super patient when needed. The open water dive was hampered slightly by the weather but still managed to see an amazing array of marine life including white tip reef shark, moray eel and most spectacular and graceful manta ray - truly awesome! Risky was brilliant with my partner who was diving for the very first time, it made her experience being able to relax and enjoy the dive knowing she was in safe hands. CharlieTheTraveler offered a great value for the trip to Turkey. There were so many amenities included, such as all of the activities and tours and the wonderful tour guide that was provided to help us navigate it all. Overall, this was a well-organized trip.

Just back from a second week with Costa Rica Rios. They do a great job. The guides are superb. They are very attentive to the interests and abilities of their guests and work very hard and successfully to make everyone happy. We were with the same guides all week so you really build a relationship. They don’t just shuttle you from venue to venue. All our lodgings were excellent particularly the Lodge along the Pacuare river. Transportation is in high-quality vans. And of course since it’s Costa Rica you are surrounded by beautiful country, the weather and water are warm, and the birds and wildlife are abundant.
