Fox Theater

We became Tucson locals seven years ago, having been accustomed to large city challenges for access to cultural venues. Fortunately, we didn't wait too long to explore an event at the Fox and discovered how easy and wonderful it is to engage in events at the Fox. Parking is plentiful, affordable and within an easy walk - particularly in pleasant Tucson weather. There are many really good restaurants downtown, so it makes for a great evening with a loved one! The facility itself is well preserved and operated with loving care by a great staff. Seats are comfortable and viewing is great as there are no bad seats in the house. We're now back several times each year and thoroughly enjoy each visit!

Voted BEST OF TUCSON every year since 2002 by readers of the Tucson Weekly, The Loft Cinema is a mission-driven, membership-supported nonprofit cinema that screens new independent American and foreign films and documentaries, along with classic art films, interactive events including a monthly short film contest, sing-a-longs and cult favorites. Patrons can enjoy beer, wine, pizza, tamales along with fantastic films. The main theatre seats 500 people and boasts the largest screen in Southern Arizona. In addition to our regular programming, The Loft hosts an annual international film festival in the fall and a free children's film festival every July. In 2012 The Loft was selected to be an official venue of the Sundance Film Festival in their Sundance USA program and we have hosted a screening direct from Sundance with the filmmakers every year since. The Loft is one of 7 American cinemas to be a collaborating partner with Film Forward: Advancing Cultural Dialogue in 2012, an honor The Loft also enjoyed in 2011.

A friend & I came here to see a newly released film. Purchasing our tickets online and having our seats assigned to us meant that even if we got stuck in traffic and showed up at the last minute (we actually arrived early), we wouldn't have to go up and down the theater, looking for what seats are left. The seats are quite comfortable. You begin in a normal seated position; from this point, you can begin reclining, using a lever/button on the side of your seat, stopping at various degrees or going all the way down to a near-flat position. You just need to find your "sweet spot" and enjoy the flick! Just don't show up for a movie feeling sleepy, because you easily could doze off in one of these babies!

Right after the Oscars, my wife and I went to see Parasite. What a terrific theatre to see a movie! Seats were all extremely comfortable and reclined making it the ultimate experience. Sound was solid and everything was clean, clean, clean. Popcorn, soda, movie and my favorite person by my side...a perfect day.
