Estatua de Hans Christian Andersen

Reviewed By thomasmV1958LM - Littleton, United States

Not sure how we heard of this statue, but we certainly wanted to find it and see it. We had seen the one outside of Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, and so it seemed like a thing to do in Malaga. Even though we knew the “general” location (the busy intersection of Calle Molina Lario and the Plaza de la Marina) it wasn’t that easy to find. It is about 100 - 200 feet in from the intersection and trees & kiosks sort of block the view unless you really look. It’s a wonderful statue and certainly a photo op.... It is as nice as the other in Copenhagen. Half the fun was trying to find it.

Monument to the Catholic Monarchs

Reviewed By MikaelF413 - Vantaa, Finland

The Catholic Monarchs King Ferdinand and Queen Isabel were very important in the history of Fuengirola. On the 7th of August 1485, they conquered the Sohail Castle which was under the rule of Moors. In the middle of the Plaza de Los Reyes Catolicos is a 3-meter tall bronze statue made in honor for them.
