The Fisherman of Ayia Napa

A sculpture of a fisherman preparing his fishing nets was placed at a central point of the picturesque Harbour of Ayia Napa, in order to remind the old and young generations, as well as the visitors, that Ayia Napa used to be a fishing village and that the main occupation of the men was fishing. The sculpture, with dimensions 1.90 x 0.90, was created by the famous Cypriot sculptor Philippo Yiapani

The Lady Farmer

The impressive sculpture "Rular Woman", was created by the Corfiot artist Aggelos Gerakakis. The sculpture of the Female Farmer that is made out of bronze and is 2.10m tall, was erected as a tribute to the woman of the earth and toil who collects the fruits of her labours and is grateful for the divine harvest.

The mermaid of Ayia Napa wears a Vergina Pendant-bearing the Vergina Sun as she is the sister of Alexander the Great. Her Byzantine stature is kingly, attesting to the roots and ancestry of the people of Ayia Napa. The sculpture, that is 3 meters tall and is made out of bronze, was unveiled on May 30th, 2015.

The Farmer of Ayia Napa

It was created in order to pay a tribute to all the farmers of the village, men and women, for their contribution for the enliven of the town and to remind the younger generation that Ayia Napa's roots are found in the rural life. The monument was created by the famous Cypriot sculptor Philippo Yiapani. Its height 1.80m and its base is made out of white marble.

On the edge of Cape Greco Park just off the Gravel Track to The Sea Caves sits yet another of Mother Nature’s fine Creations - The Juniper Tree. Although these Trees were plentiful in bygone days they were cut down to provide Fuel for the nearby Flour Mills. However not to be defeated Mother Nature still has this one to allow Locals & Tourists sit awhile and reflect on how the area must have once been. There is a Seating Area and popular for Wedding Photographs. Easy to find and well worth Ten Minutes of your time to appreciate this Wonder.
