Titicaca Lodge Peru

My lodging is located on the floating island of the Uros. The private room overlooking the lake and the city of Puno. On my island there is a minimarket restaurant and a souvenir shop. We offer a tour of the Islands including local activities. During the day we receive visitors.

Julio was amazing from start to finish - I am a solo female traveler and Julio just made it feel like home and was so nice and welcoming. He speaks great English, and offers a tour on a reed boat in the evening that offers so much cool, interesting info about how these islands float and how the reeds are used. Now, this place is literally on its own floating island on the lake and this family works 24/7 to maintain the property and lodge, cook food, provide heat, clean, etc.Anything I needed, I messaged him on WhatsApp and he was super responsive. The place itself sits in beautiful Lake Titicaca, and you get the most gorgeous 180’view from your room, as well as your own terrace with a day bed. Everything was super clean and the furnishings were so cute and it is literally Instagram gold. It was really the perfect getaway and so thankful for Julio and his family for this amazing experience

Imagine a centuries old stone house, built by Italian immigrants, fully restored and upgraded, with only four rooms, in the countryside. An unforgettable colonial experience for couples or families. The breakfast has all the regional cultural influence, very good.

Let’s just start by saying that I had an incredible trip. From the airport pickup, which was on time, to the ride to the lodge, Charlie was welcoming, enthusiastic and extremely informative. The trip was nonstop action, which was great cause we didn’t have time to get bored. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and very friendly and open to talking about everything. The food was absolutely incredible, as well, and that’s sayin a lot for me. I can’t wait to go back!

Nice option... that's all!

Reviewed By Brusque

We've arrived in the middle of Natal Luz and they've offered us a nice room but at high rates... Anyway, the room was good, not so far from downtown and main attractions, thus it was definitely not bad at all. Breakfast was really good with a good variety of locas dishes. Check for low season's rates or check it in advance and maybe you can get better rates!

A very special place to stay

Reviewed By rebeccatL1230VC

I highly recommend staying here, and soon. The Uros floating islands community is in a time of change, and you can still really see the traditional lifestyle here, while also enjoying the comforts of this beautiful lodge. I think things are changing quickly in the area, and the opportunity to see life as it is now won't last long. Staying here is a like glamping, with the gorgeous comfortable beds and perfect views of sunsets and rainbows, not to mention hammocks and outdoor beds to enjoy, and full meals served to you three times a day. But also it's on an island made of reeds in a traditional community, so don't expect unlimited electricity and internet, unlimited hot water, alcohol, or your food whims to be fulfilled. Come here to be here, not to replicate the habits of the city you live in. The lodge is run by a family that is beautifully committed to sharing their community to travelers, and love to do so. They speak English and Spanish as well as Quechua and Aymara, and will take you out on the water and answer all your questions about life lived in Uros, the experience is priceless, truly. We spent three nights and that was just right - enough time to settle in to the island and see both the local islands and more distant Isla Taquile. Another night or two would have given us time to paddle around on our own in a canoe, or take another excursion to a more distant island. Give yourself enough time to really be here. The price is all inclusive, and is a tremendous value.

Spectacular jungle lodge

Reviewed By stork90

We've stayed in very rustic accommodations in jungle lodges in Peru, and this felt like luxury! Yes, there is mosquito netting over the bed (but then you slept very comfortably knowing you were safe from the little biters), and only cold water showers, but they were so refreshing after hiking or swimming, and only shocking on the morning we had to leave. We stayed in the separate cabin and loved all the space. Every evening, staff came by and let down the wall tarps in case it rained in the night, and the mosquito netting was set up for us, well before sundown. In the morning, the rain tarps were rolled back up, and our room was freshened while we were out on excursions. We totally agree with a previous poster who said the Aruscicito hike/canoe trip was the best. We saw the most wildlife/birds on this one compared to any other outing. I was very happily surprised at the lack of mosquitos! I'm usually a magnet for them, and I even stopped wearing repellent to dinner and never got bitten. (WARNING - I was eaten up in the Nuqui "airport" while waiting for our plane back to Medellin.) All of the staff were reserved, but friendly and helpful. The food is amazingly good for the location, and room rates include 3 meals a day. Alejandro is an excellent host. He was fascinating to visit with, speaks English very well, and was always checking in with us concerning activities or seeing if we needed anything. He even gave us some money back after we settled our bill, because our boat back to Nuqui was shared with several other guests, rather than just the two of us. No hesitation at all to recommend Punta Brava as a fantastic and comfortable place to experience the Pacific coast and jungle of Colombia. BTW, we are 60 and 61 y/o.

It was a great experience! We decided to walk from Salento center to the Finca, it’s a nice long walk, maybe wouldn’t recommend if it’s raining. We decided to take a shorter tour and we’re guided by lovely Andres! We’ve learnt a lot of interesting facts about coffee production and tried an amazing coffee on place! :) beautiful views, great quality. I would recommend it to everyone.
