The Sunrise Huraa is small inn located within 15 sec walking distance to the nearest beach and 5 min walk from the guest beach. Located away from the middle of the island where one can clearly see the sunrise above the ocean early in the morning. Containing an outdoor private area, outdoor dining, a flourishing garden, completely AC rooms and the warm feeling of being home. Located 25 min speed boat or 1 hr ferry ride from the island of Male'
Decent guesthouse, wrong island
Reviewed By Invisible_YoginProperty itself is very good – with great and helpful owner Shameer and all the staff. Rooms are clean, beach towels and water always available, they serve good breakfast and can cook a good lunch. Once Shameer went snorkeling with me to show a non-obvious snorkeling place near the island. He was kind to help me printing and scanning the papers I needed to send home. On the downside - window was facing the wall in a meter distance (unfortunately not uncommon problem of Maldivian guesthouses and hotels), there were. no soundproofing with the adjoining room - sounds like the neighbors are in your room. Location-wise - hostel used to be on the beach, but now - after the extension of the island - near the huge wasteland that used to be the ocean. The worst thing about our stay was the island. It is by far the least interesting of 11 Maldivian local island we have visited: nothing to see, nothing to do, unless going somewhere by the boat, small bikini beach with a very shallow water, no house reef except for some 0,5 meter deep little coral field where you can snorkel during the high tide without getting coral cuts, only one ok restaurant - in a word, no vibe, no attractions. If I’d visit only this island I would have terribly wrong impression from Maldives.

I booked 3 Rooms in Ithaa Beach, however when we arrived the host offered to chose between Ithaa and another his hotel Sigeny View. The second one was located at bikiny beach, we chose this one. So the review is not about a hotel but the service, which I beleive is the same in both hotels. We took full board: it was not big choice of dishes, but very fresh and tasty. The portions are big. My favorites: penne with reef fish, tuna fried rice and chicken curry. Amazing seafood bbq: fish, octopus, lobsters. Guys can arrange romantic dinner at the beach or bbq party. Fruits, fresh juses and icecream are available as well. They adore kids. And even played with my restless toddler so I could have my dinner in peace:) My son became best friends with our waiter mister Kalam. Guys made their best to make us happy. And they really did. Hamdhaan organised snorckling excursions for us with dolphins, sharks and reef fishes. Great experience. Two hours ride with dolphins is 20$ per adult and 15$ per child. 4 hours ride with sharks and dolphins is 40$/20$. 2 kayaks, snorkling masks and fins are available in the hotel for free The island itself is very good for family holidays. 40min ride from Male (speed board is 25$ per person one way). There is a nice beaches where you can find shallow water for kids and dip water to sweem and free dive. There is an instagramy sand bank and reach home reef for snorkling. We saw muray, baby sharks, stingrays, lobsters there. Big sharks and sting rays come to marina every evening to feed. Once we saw dophins and a tutrtle near the shore. Even if you don't go for excursions you'll see a lot of animals at the island. There is a manta cleaning spot near the iseland, but manta season is from Jun to Sep. We found a badminton playground and played with locals (they have a net, otherwise take your own net with you). And there is a good kids playground. Both located near the pupblic beach. There are two dive centers. We went to Manta divers: 80$ for intro dive and 55$ for those who have PADI license. Good service, we recommend them. SUP serf - 20$ per hour. The owner, whose name is Chai, gave my 5 years old son a free lesson on SUP, while I was riding mine. Not for tips or make me come again it was a sincere expression of love to kids. Locals are very friendly and always try to help. The hospitality ob the island is one of my biggest impressions of the holiday. If you want to feel the vibes of Maldives then defenetly come to this place and pass a warm hello from me to mister Hamdhaan!

Reviewed By Vitals GGuesthouse owner has only 3 rooms to let... when we arrived ,he ask to pay cash in advance and after got our cash, say " sorry mistakes happen...overbooking....please go to other guesthouse!" We pay him 615 eur for 5 days ( he also overcharge us because booking confirmation shows just 564 eur) and we got room in neighbour guesthouse for 249 eur according to booking.com prices. We have no chance to check our original booked room condition, facilities etc. Never pay him cash before you get room! Dinner what we booked with room and use to eat at " Wind breeze" are very basic and plain. Any island's eatery offer far better food. Better look for other place! Excursions, what we got as compensation, was ok, but also we do not feel as valued guests there.

Reviewed By Saji AI stayed there in a twin room with my friend for 1 night. The stay was good. However after the check out I received a call from the hotel and the guy who spoke to me was very rude. He told me that we did not inform them about the dirty towels and now their boss will be angry. I told them that we requested for room clean but they said it will be provided on the next day. And that Bangladeshi guy said we caused them a loss by making the towels dirty. I asked them if they don't have any towels in their stock and this guy hung up. It was so offensive and so unethical to call their customer and speak like that. Besides no hospitality establishment staff can call to their customer and say we cause them a loss or give lectures like that. I know about this because me and my friend who stayed with me, we work in the same industry. This was the first and last time there. We will never go back to hathaa beach again.

At first they gave me a room in which the linen was not changed, I called an employee to show him the hair on the sheet and only then they gave me another room Very bad small in the room, to much Moskitos, the walls in the room are very dirty and air conditioning very loudly, it was impossible to sleep. If you don’t want to spoil your stay in the Maldives, then don’t choose this hotel.

Amazing guest house in Maldives
Reviewed By Alicia POur stay in Mirian Sky was wonderful! We will never forget this amazing trip. When we arrived at Male's airport, Imran's cousin was waiting for us. He stays with us till we got the speed boat. The journey to Gaafaru is around 1h30 but you profit of Maldivian's sea and views! Gaafaru is a cozy local island and Mirian Sky is the only guesthouse, which makes it unique. Locals are very nice and open-minded (no need to dress for women with long sleeves nor long trousers). Mirian Sky has all the modern facilities: Big bed, air conditioning, tv, wifi...Food is also excellent, it is served by Muhammad, excellent chef. He asks everyday what do you want to eat and for example, we were delighted with Maldivian's food. Regarding our stay, everything was perfect. We had lot of activities organized by Jorey (best guide ever): sand bank, picnic island, snorkle, swimming with turtles... Last night, they helped my fiancée to make the most romantic proposal! We will never forget this experience and we really recommend this stay. Thanks once again Imran, Jorey and Muhammad for your hospitality!

The most perfect place in Thulusdhoo
Reviewed By ChrisD446Our first week in a month long trip in Maldives trip around the islands started at Iru Guest House in Thulusdhoo. This guest house was so good, we returned for a few days later in the month. They book out fast and dont have many rooms, so if they have availability, it is THE place to stay on the island. The only guest house on the island that you can walk out directly onto the bikini beach and it’s perfect white sand and palm trees. Very stylist with good sized, comfortable rooms. The first time we stayed in the family room on the ground floor that you could walk straight out onto the beach, the second time we stayed on the 1st floor with it’s four poster bed and amazing balcony with views over the worm Turquoise blue waters. Great breakfast in the morning and unlimited water, tea and coffee throughout the day. The manager Nadine, contacted us before we arrived, organised the public speedboat from Male, greeted us, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stays. The staff are fantastic, organising excursions, laundry and even a tailor. Dinners we eat out, although they can organise food in-house. We discovered the three best places to eat on the island, all along the beach and near to Iru - Batuta (attach to Surf View) for its fresh fish (and there huge set meals), great staff, great value, great chef, Canopus for their veg curry, and Sandbank for their Prawns. Avoid Samura, next to Iru, which is overpriced and unpleasant with its incredibly rude Italian manager. Iru helped us with a number of excursions, including jet skiing and reef trips to see rays and turtles, and diving through Feenee diving, with its base behind Iru. Due to our length of time in the Maldives, we stayed in both resorts and guest houses. Iru was the highlight, made even better by Stuart, the coolest kitten, rescued by Nadine with only a little sight in one eye and so playful. Thank you Nadine and all the staff at Iru for making our stay so wonderful.
