Amazing experience in Bali
Reviewed By prouss134439First off don’t believe any negative reviews that are written on here they’re simply written by people who are members of PETA and Extremist. This place treats animals better than most people treat people and I stayed here for three days did every activity multiple days and the elephants have a great relationship with all of the trainers. Elephants are well cared for well fead and appear to be very happy and have been rescued from bad conditions in other parts of Indonesia. The hotel is wonderful the food is great the service is amazing and you can’t be this experience if you’re visiting Indonesia for the money! Highly suggest

Excellent Stay - Villa with Infinity Pool
Reviewed By myy1205The room is very spacious, the villa is great, the infinity pool is facing the paddy field and river. This is living in nature ! Best experience i have ever had in nature ! The staff is friendly and with fantastic service. The food is good, I can have the meals set up by the pool or in the pool ! Location is a bit far from Ubud City center but the taxi ride is good view of the surrounding. If you walked 200 steps down, you will reach the paddy fields & river for rafting, and mingle with the locals. Absolutely quiet in the night and lots of privacy ! A breathtaking experience with views !

Reviewed By Mauricio MOne of the best experiences in our second stay in Bali. This Hotel is small, quiet and relaxing. The swimming pool and the luxurious green surrounding it makes the places unique. Very well located, but away from the bitten track, you can easily go anywhere in centre Ubud by foot. The room where we stayed was very spacious, right next to the swimming pool and very clean. The breakfast is in partnership with the restaurant next to the hotel and although the food was good, we think that needs some improvement. The staff is the icing on the cake, as they are very friendly and professional. We are definitely going back next time we are in Ubud.

Best guest House in ubud
Reviewed By Nwe11111111Stayed here for Four nights. It was an amazing experience. The family who runs the Place is so Nice and helpful. The room is clean, the location is great (5 min walk to busiest street of ubud) and the breakfast is great too. You order what you want and they bring it up for you to eat on your own balcony. They also helped us book a trip to see the Rice terasses and waterfall outside of ubud. I have Nothing bad to say, we had a great stay.

Great homestay in Ubud!
Reviewed By Carla HLoved my stay at Masna House! Masna is an excellent host, warm & incredibly helpful. The hot water is almost instant, and my room had AC, though the fan was sufficient for me. The breakfasts were superb--they make great coffee, and I got hooked on the banana pancake. There is a beautiful garden with a fountain. The location was great--very close to the Palace, restaurants, and about 30 min. to the Monkey Forest on foot. The spa I like was a 15-min. walk. I hired Masna to drive me down to Sanur--so easy! He was also available to drive me to places in Ubud, but I walked everywhere. Next time I will go a little farther afield, and take him up on it. I had a medical issue while I was there, and they were amazing. Masna was not home and it was 5 o'clock, so his wife called the clinic to make sure they would not close before I arrived. Masna's sister, whom I had not met, gave me a helmet & took me to the clinic on her motorbike. She insisted on staying with me even when I said I would take a taxi back. The doctor determined that I needed a specialist at the big clinic across town, so she drove me there & again insisted on staying. (By this time it was dark.) She translated for me, stayed with me during the exam, then drove me home after helping me to get my medicine, pay & get a receipt. Masna was home by this time, very concerned & offered to do anything I might need. Fortunately, I did not have to cut my trip short. I feel very fortunate to have found Masna House, and I will be back.

Reviewed By angelas230874Staff watched us carry our 30kg bags up about 50 stairs. Food was very ordinary. Was a nice villa but unfortunately not clean and soaps and drinks not replaced. Had to ask all the time. No safe either. I’m a regular to Bali and purchased this Travelzoo voucher. Not a bad location if you enjoy walking but not safe to walk into Ubud Centre. They have a free shuttle at 11 and 2 but when we went to use it they said that there was no car or driver available. They called us a car that we paid 100,000rp for. Very disappointing. Unfortunately definitely won’t be back ?

Other facilities offered at the property include a tour desk. Airport shuttle and bicycle rentals are available upon request and at additional charges. As for dining option, guests can explore the surrounding area where various restaurants can be found just a 5-minute walk away. The good and the bad
Reviewed By PaulJ19It’s a homestay so you’re sharing the property with the family who live here, albeit in a hotel style bedroom and set up. The good points of Karma house include the morning breakfast which was always a good portion and tasty and the central Ubud location. However, there were quite a few negatives including WiFi that I could barely get to work throughout our stay as it was so unbearably slow, the room was infested with ants and in particular the bathroom (which resembled a prison cell with its metal door and grey walls) Any item left on the floor would be covered in ants. Lack of air conditioning made the room uncomfortably hot and difficult to sleep at night. Biggest gripe was the lack of ‘essentials’ - not provided shampoo or body wash was one thing however we also weren’t provided toilet paper or hand soap which felt a tad ridiculous. During our stay our towels were also never replaced despite an extended stay and most people showering twice a day with the heat and humidity. Door locks are just padlocks and the general area did have rats and lots of ants and insects. I do not want to give a bad review as I did appreciate the budget price and subsequent budget accomodation provided however there is certainly areas for improvement. Stay here for the location, just around the corner is an alleyway full of the cheapest and best restaurants in all of Ubud and a great laundrette, Royal Palace is just a couple of minutes walk away also.

Awesome Guest House
Reviewed By v_lianyDefinitely value for money. Its in a quite side of Ubud, about 10 mins walk from Yoga Barn. The main town is about 5-10 mins away in motorbike. Place is basic but clean, with individual bathroom. Breakfast was awesome with a plate of freshly cut fruits. Hosts were very friendly too which made my stay even more pleasant!

FABULOUS, authentic, green&leafy
Reviewed By EzzieChanI stayed a week here, so glad I found it. I will stay again if I return. The building of this was inspired. The attractive cottages are tucked away, scarcely visible, in lovely expansive grounds, green green green. All of the staff are warm and welcoming. I didn’t need my room cleaned every day, but they insisted, and cleverly did it while I was at breakfast so as not to disturb. The breakfast – delicious - fresh fruit, BEST papaya, eggs different ways & filled pancakes. Only caution – room wasn’t soundproof, but I only heard a neighbour once. Loved the light and bright room, the garden outlooks, and the total experience. Oh and it’s a good location.
