Amazing food and drinks! Every plate we ordered was banging and the staff are super helpful and friendly. An awesome atmosphere at the bar and highly recommended! The vegetable gyozas and Nasi goreng were incredible, and they also have loads of drinks options to choose from. Great work guys and see you soon!

Our fantastic tree house adventure

We had an absolutely fantastic time in the most spacious tree house. We also enjoyed champagne , and Fanta orange (our 11 year old daughter Skye ) in a lovely hot tub on the spacious decking. In the morning we were greeted with a tast breakfast delivered to our door by a special tree house fairy. We are already planning our next visit to this terrific house in the woods.

Gite le Flourou

Le Flourou is a gite, it is like a hotel. It means that you are welcome in a friendly, simple way and we provide you dinner, night and breakfast. You might share a room or be independant in a double room all furnished with bathroom. welcome at le Flourou and let us enjoy your coming home. See you

Lovely Gite , Friendly Stay.

Reviewed By Loreedubois83

We have just stayed 6 nights at Gite Flourou.. not only was it charming, relaxed & clean, but also ideal for us. We like to travel with liberty, we also know what we like/prefer to eat & when. Its flexible here, there is the use of a simple kitchen space for guests who might wish to self cater, ( no kettle, but I boiled water in the pan on a very fast halogen hob, plug for a kettle tho..) I could make my own pots of tea. They offer reasonably priced dinners; at 7pm, or left for you. A studio space on ground floor with modern wood effect floor for Mat-Exercising. From the experience of our room, suggest additional plug in clip light for reading if your eyes are weak, I used one. Own pillow if like feathers, but the pillows were 'not too stuffed.' Be sure to let them know if eating out in morning or may assume eating in. CLOSE to SKILIFT, max 10 mins walk with your skiis or a 'Garderie' to leave them at lift area. Wonderful little cinema in the village, the hot water 'baths' walking distance ( book on line for baths, a time slot as capacity is regulated currently... only accept Synthetic swimsuits, large range on sale on site, Its a million times nicer than you might imagine! Stunningly presented, modern, very clean) We would certainly return to Gite Flourou! Quiet here, no dogs barking or road noise for our stay.

Gite Auberge de Salvagny

Whether you’re staying for a night, a week, or a longer break, you’ll find a warm welcome at the Auberge de Salvagny. Located in the village of Sixt Fer à Cheval, on the doorstep of the Sixt Nature Reserve and close to Samoëns, our gîte is a stone's throw away from downhill and cross-country ski runs in the winter, and is on the GR5 walking trail across the Alps in summer. We have 15 bedrooms.

perfect for a hiking trip - just make sure you understand it's a gite, NOT a hotel

Reviewed By marcopolo1964

I stayed here during a hiking trip in the Alps. It's right off the GR5 long distance trail. Just be clear about what it is. It's a gite, not a hotel. The rooms are ultra simple - just a bed and some shelves. The toilets and showers are shared in the hallway. If you don't have a sleeping bag or sheet sac, you have to rent linens for a few euros. Dinner and breakfast are at precise times. It's clean, the people who run it are friendly, It was perfect for my needs, but just be clear about what sort of place this is - a sort of youth hostel for adults. It's in a beautiful valley, with great hiking. Dinner was good, my main complaint would be that breakfast was a bit skimpy.

Perfect spot a couple minutes drive to the heart of town. Rooms clean and comfortable. Bring sheets and a towel however. We didn’t know this and they were nice enough to provide some for a small fee. Very nice staff, good breakfast and would have loved to try the dinner but ours was a last minute booking. Overall I highly recommend.

When we got the second day dinner the owner was going to bring somebody to town and nobody was there to serve us. The owner tells everything about his expensive lodges ( 3 x )in Bali but if he handle is guest like us ...... Also in our room you hear the motor of the airco unit and the . Breakfast is very expensive for what you get. ( 3 type of jam, juice and coffee 2 bread )

Less than expected

For the restaurant: expecting a much better dinner in a hotel of this class. Except the soups, first dishes and the lamb (proposed menu) the other main courses was bellow an acceptable level. Hamburgers: we have tasted a much better in much cheaper taverns. Onglets (Angus!): The worst I have ever had. The staff unexperienced to handle the situation. Following my complaints, just took the plate and without asking or say anything, 15' later brought another plate, more or less same quality. To keep story short, the only positive point, this dish was taken out from our bill !! ...but our dinner was spoiled...

Dirty, smelly, poor location for skiing

Mouldy ceiling in the shower. Only 2 showers for 30 guests. Took at least 1hr to and from the cable car for skiing. I wish I had spent properly on a hotel rather than staying in this mess. I wouldn't return or recommend. Indeed I left early for a hotel. 1*

Hidden gem ... fun times and great memories

Reviewed By Tiptopchap

A spontaneous last minute decision for me and my two boys (10 & 15) to get a few days of skiing coupled with a last minute cancellation uncovered this absolute gem of a place to stay. I am not a big writer of reviews however we have just come back from an incredible few days of quality family time - the Chalet is of a high standard, the rooms and en-suite were clean and really comfortable. It’s a really nice ski base with a big family room, restaurant (breakfast, lunch, evening meal) and you can ski straight to the lift :) we hired a car and we had great contact with Gilles from the start. You can park your car just 3 minutes walk away and your bags will be taken up to the chalet by snowmobile. The week we were there which is school half term, Les Gets / Morzine were crowded - you can take the lift 2 minutes from the chalet and ski some of the best runs right on your doorstep or drop down the other side to gain access to the full region. If you are wanting busy nightlife then sure you need to be in the main resorts but I just wanted somewhere nice and quiet to spend with my kids because after a day of skiing what’s better than a hot bath, great food and a comfy bed! Perfect, if you can get a room you will not be disappointed. The owners and their family delivered beyond my own expectations - really nice people who are running a great chalet in one of the best ski areas. It clearly attracts a really nice guest clientele, great for families and everything you need for a memorable vacation. Thanks Gilles and family!! Highly recommended.
