Just returned from a 4 day stay at Grande Mountain Lodge. Although it doesn't look like much from the outside the rooms are actually well equipped & clean. I was most impressed by the fact the rooms are not carpeted but had hardwood floors. Our room had a small kitchenette & a maid came everyday to make the bed & replace bathroom towels. The view from our room was also spectacular! I would stay here again.

Beautiful location, great staff. We were not given the clamping tent the I had requested months before and not notified that we had been moved. They compensated with a room credit. The staff is friendly and courteous. My breakfast was inedible, but quickly substituted.

Heaven in Jasper

Reviewed By Mary Ann P

Although it was about 40 minutes outside Jasper, we were absolutely glad we booked it. The place is just beautiful. We had a room right in main building, with a deck and a mountain view. From the moment we arrived, the staff were fabulous. I give them all 5 stars. The quality of the room furnishings were right on point. Mind you have NO TV or phone, but who needed it when you had the "view". The best was the restaurant. Again a 5 star treat. Absolutely delicious. We came down early for our reservation and sat by the fire, a beautiful room, a bar tender was attentive to our requests and when we did sit for dinner the waiter was amazing. All in all this is a place you will never be disappointed with.

Looking Forward to Next Stay

I know it is a bit strange to write a review before my visit, but I have stayed here with my family on several occasions over the years. It is a wonder place with great accommodations and staff. I am submitting this review based on the excellent customer service associated with a reservation I accidently canceled. Sparing the reader the details, I can summarize by saying I made a terrible blunder and accidentally canceled my reservation for late June. It was only when I received a cancelation email the next day that I recognized my mistake. I was totally screwed as I already had airline tickets and other reservations in place. I immediately went on line to reserve again, but of course all accommodations were booked, so I emailed and called after hours hoping to recover my original reservation. The answer I expected was "sorry, their is nothing we can do". I am happy to report that Catrina was able to work some magic to get me back on the property. She was genuinely very kind and understanding, and I am so grateful as we desperately need some time at Paradise in paradise after the trials of the past couple of years. A sincere thanks to Catrina.

Paying for convenience

Plus - Great location, nice scenery, comfortable room. Having a cabin up from the lake was a plus. Minus - Breakfast first morning of stay was cold, as was the breakfast room. Being end of season, room was not always restocked with amenities that were supposedly guaranteed. Given cost of room, expected a little more. We requested a box lunch one afternoon, we got charged after being told it was going to be complimentary. You basically pay for the convenience of being close to hiking trails and not having to deal with the limited parking,
