The landscape is beautiful and very calming. The staff is very courteous and competent. Oh Jesus! I am looking forward to COME HERE AGAIN!

Reviewed By Trail240418Nice hotel with lovely atmosphere, pretty clean. Swimming pool, sauna, steam sauna are wonderfull. The quality and taste of the food in hotel restaurant depends on which shift is in the kitchen. The best was the barbecue!

Hotel Katerina - a detached villa in the centre of Znojmo town is located on an extraordinary place. From the eastern part there is a wonderful view of the National park Podyji whose beauties can be admired from the hotel windows or from the summer terrace. The entrance to the park is just 70 meters far from the hotel. There you can enjoy the scenery, go for walks or ride a bike which can be rented.

Reviewed By 157erikkHotel Katerina is the best I've stayed in Znojmo, and this is my eighth vacation to this charming town. Self check-in was simple and hassle free, all instructions are written. Room with high ceiling was spacious and very clean, with unbelievably comfy bed, clean bathroom, carpet floor and stunnig window view to the hills, church and river. Excellent conditioned air and quiet nights sleep. Needed late check-out until 4pm at departure day, and after short call to the hotel manager for availability, it was given to us for free. Thank you very much for your kindness and friendly attitude! One more gem of Hotel Katerina is the Panorama restaurant. You could never believe that such high class restaurant is existing in Znojmo. And I'm not talking about gorgeous panorama view to the hills and the river from the terrace. The furniture may be simple, but the food is unbelievably well made and incredibly tasty. The variety is stunning. You can choose from eight types of steak, four pastas, soups, salads and home made sweets. Deserts are uncomparable. Steaks are one of the best I've ever tryed. Breakfasts are AlaCarte, and I must admit it is much better than usual swedish table. For the breakfast you have what you have ordered and it is freshly cooked for you in some 5 minutes timeThe restaurant is run by two young but talented chefs, with personal and most warmest and welcome attitude to every guest. If you happen to visit Znojmo, please come to this restaurant. You will not be disappointed!

Reviewed By gregoryjasonbNew, clean, beautifully located, nice grounds, secure, adequate parking, nice proprietor, good meals, great wine, quiet. Small bathroom, spotty wifi, no English tv stations. Be sure to take bicycles with you, and ride them to Vinice pod Sobes, for spectacular views of the Thaya River valley and a wine tasting in the midst of a vineyard.

The family guesthouse Kaplanka is a perfect gateway to discover all historic sights and spend active holidays in Znojmo as it is located in the heart of the historical centre of Znojmo and within easy reach of a number of attractive targets. Pension Kaplanka offers accommodation in double and triple rooms and apartments, most of them are equipped with ensuite bathroom, respectively kitchenette. Daily hearty breakfast buffet is served in cafe of the guesthouse. In the pension areal there is also a wine bar which offers tasting of wines from Znojmo region and typical meals to the wine. Pension guests can use the ornamental garden to relax, the garden has a pond with the possibility of swimming or just sitting in the guesthouse courtyard with barbecue, all accompanied by the beautiful view of river Dyje. Furthermore, there is fully equipped kitchen, bike storage, Wi-Fi internet connection in entire areal and parking places in the courtyard at disposal to the guests.

Reviewed By Jaroslav Tpros: My second stay there. The owner and staff were very kind and helpful. The locations is great. The old building is charming. Rooms are spacious. We stayed in double bedroom apt. Nr. 16 and 17 (2x2 sep. beds) with a dayroom, table and bathroom and toilet. The kitchen corner was great. And the apt. Nr. 2 with a double bed incl. Bathroom and toilet. The breakfast was okay. The owner kindly offer lactose free and gluten free bfast. Just tell him in forward. There is a wine cellar you can enter directly from the guesthouse ground. The St. Nicholas' Deanery Church, restaurants etc. are very close. Parking is no problem which is great. cons: We found some mildew in the bathroom apt. 16+17. A TV in the dayroom wold be nice. Even when there is a TV in each bedroom. My friends found ants in the apt. 2 (direct entrance to the yard) , but the owner solved the problem immediately.

Very nice place, not so pleasant hosts
Reviewed By Barbara ŠWe wanted to visit Znojmo with couple of friends for a hen party since our bride is not the type to go around clubs and bars, she mostly enjoy stay with some girlfriends and drinking wine. We chose this hotel because it looked very nice for girls to stay in and the owners seemed very helpful in the communication before the stay. Very surprising was that in the neighborhood was jail and hospital for long-term ill people. It was not a problem for us, but it might be for somebody. As I talked already with the owner and told her we are coming for hen party, she was very cheerful when we arrived. The hotel was really beautiful and the ambiance was great. As we arrived late on the first day we wanted just to chill with girls on one of the rooms and had some fun games for the bride. She was asthonish with the enviroment there. Unfortunately for us it is summer and we had opened all the windows because it was very warm inside, no AC there only a fan. We were a bit louder you can imagine that with 9 girls talking together. But there was no problem (or nobody told us) till 0:30 in the night. The owner (man) stormed in and told us that we are loud and if we won’t stop he will throw us away and call the police. We were quite surprised with that behavior, we apologized, told him that we will be quiet. But the behavior was really not nice, I would be more patient with the clients for the first time since we didn’t know if it is really so loud or that somebody had a problem. We started to say good night and he came again in a minute with more threats so we were not so polite either this time. He told us that we didn’t pay as we are some preditors or something, but we already agreed with the wife we will pay in the morning since we wanted to stay there the whole weekend. After that the wife came in and calm him down and we went to sleep immediately. In the morning we wanted to solve things out, came to the breakfast to talk with the owner, but she firstly didn’t want to let us in before we will pay. That was not nice either. After that we had agreed we will leave the hotel. I don’t want to belittle the quality of the hotel but the hosts are more happy to have there quiet couples and maybe it is better to say that before you agree to accommodate 9 girls.

Reviewed By 7UrbanwolvesHotel Solnice in Znojmo Czech Republic- so not nice! The TV doesn’t work- “it’s down across the whole hotel” but the next room’s tv is so loud they gave me earplugs. The earplugs do not drown out the noise of literally anything because the walls are so thin I can hear the neighbors fart! No minibar. No aircon. Hot as hell. I might as well stay in a tent in a trailer park ???

Hotýlek má asi 10-12 pokojů, kdy nám slečna ukázala asi polovinu z nich, jeden hezčí než druhý, každý je originál a rozlišují se barvou, která je pro daný pokoj dominantou... (zlatý pokoj, kde jsme byli my, má postel s nebesy, krb, zlatou sedačku a v kuchyni dokonce i zlaté spotřebiče. Pokoj má i krásnou velkou pavlač. Dále jsme viděli stříbrný pokoj, červený, zelený, starorůžový, hnědý, žlutý.... nádherná jídelna.

Great location and good price
Reviewed By Luka NMy wife and I, with a couple of our friends, spent a night in Penzion Kulíšek, Znojmo, Czech Republic, in the first half of May 2017. It is a combination of cafe and pension. There are several rooms for guests at the first and second floor and we used two of them. Rooms were large and clean. Parking was at the back side of the building with one of two entrance. The other entrance was to the street, closed after 8 PM. But it was possible to use it later calling the owner. It was important and helpful for us because of my wife, who is a disabled person. Breakfast was served at the backside in the basement separately for us and was very good. Pension is at great location, in walking distance to the center of the city. The price for stay was good and the stuff -husband and wife - was very kind and helpful. I can recommend the pension to other guests as a very nice place.
