Reviewed By svamuranenI have stayed at the hotel a couple of times. Staff is always friendly, the rooms are not luxurious but rather basic and clean. Breakfast is typical Danish style. The view to the sea bay is nice and a small harbour is within a short walking distance.

Reviewed By oleb433Had booked a Superior room w Hotels.com The room ( # 101 ) did not appear to be a Superior Double at all. Bathroom was only set up for 1 person, ( extra towels in the wardrobe cabinet ) and the room was really small, with no coffee maker or water boiler. There was a small table and 2 chairs. Thankfully we didn't travel with luggage except for 1 carry on size case, so we were able top open it. There is a very limited number of TV channels. Surely not what I'd call a 'superior' room. It appeared to be a very regular standard room. The phone doesn't have any instructions on how to reach the reception. Breakfast was nice, rather nice actually.

Reviewed By d_vakis2020We were extremely dissatisfied at the Receptions hospitality service. We were given a Go Dream gift card by a friend that we decided to use at Scandic Roskilde. The gift card was simple and stated clearly that it was an overnight stay with a 2 course dinner. On arrival we were handled by a woman at the reception who insisted we were offered the option of only wine or the 2 course dinner at the time of booking. This was not the case at all and our gift card clearly stated the 2 course dinner. The woman at reception actually said she manually changed it to accommodate our needs and told us she has our credit card details in file and once she double checks with the team at go dream on Monday she will proceed accordingly. It looked like she didnt trust what we said - for a 2 course dinner - than a bottle of wine?? Terrible hospitality service. The chefs 2 course dinner was a steak with fries and vegetables. Our order was taken where we said we would prefer the steak to be rare and the other medium rare. The steak was as dry as a cardboard and extremely overdone to which we were told they couldn't make any changes as this was cut from a larger portion that has been in the oven. We couldn't eat it lest our jaws fall out. However, our compliments to the chef for his excellent treatment of the vegetables which were delicious. We were asked how our dinner went - and we honestly pointed at the dry meat that we just couldn't eat. We were shocked that the chef could actually pass this for a guest! This is when the woman at the restaurant really lifted our mood as she saw this was certainly not fair and offered us another refreshment along with our dessert. Its a shame given that Roskilde is a fishing village and we could not see that reflected in the menu. We really wished we just ate outside the hotel in Roskilde. Are we going to stay at this hotel again? definitely not. This hotel shouldn't depend on Gift Card bookings if they cant offer a standard quality service to all their customers.

Reviewed By lundwomanWe had a lovely stay at Dragsholm Castle. The staff were sweet and helpfull in every way, and the room we were accomodated in was really nice. We stayed at a room in the castle. We had dinner in the bistro, and it was great! All the courses were made with local ingredients, and everything tasted lovely. Also their non-alcoholic drinks and the wine was delicious. Breakfast was great as well, and again made with local ingredients, and we really appreciated, that it was not served as a buffet, but at the table. We will definitely recommend a stay at Dragsholm Castle.

Food, wine and the “huts” With very comfortable beds with all the facilities that you can ask for. Very pleasant surprised. Didn’t try any wellness. Breakfast provided everything you need to get started.

Reviewed By jyttedowelland this one in Ringsted was also great. I slept nearly 10 hours in a very good bed and the location is also close to most things. Only I was sorry I could not get a meal in the restaurant, but knew this beforehand.

Reviewed By Alex MSoft, uncomfortable beds resulting in very poor sleep and a sore back. (Most hotels have far firmer mattresses). Also very variable service - ranging from good to very poor. Shame, because the location is excellent, breakfast is reasonable and there is good parking. However, as things stand, we definitely couldn’t recommend this hotel

Very Disappointing and Gross.

The view and area was/is really nice. but that is it! the hotel was definitely not worth the money. The cleaning and the morning buffet was indeed lacking! There was no hand soap when we arrived, and the soap holders was really gross!. The Spa bathtub was smelling really really bad, and there came brown water out of the cane in the spa, so it seems like they didn't clean that either! There was spiderweb with dead bugs in the corners, and also you had to check every coffee mugs and glasses, because most of them was also not cleaned good. One of the beds was almost falling apart, and was making really loud squeaky noises everytime you turned around in it, so that sadly kept us awake both nights. The morning buffet was very disappointing too. There was only 2 kind of healthy very dry and hard bread, and the bread had big holes in it. There was no white bread or "danish"/wienerbrod or pancakes or anything delicious. So it seems like they only live on the lake view, and not so much on quality, cleaning and service. We give them 2 stars only because of the nice view and area.
