Reviewed By niallo970Hotel is €8 taxi away from Tavera, but they have a free shuttle service. €50 taxi from Faro. Lovely clean and friendly hot. Big bed rooms and bathroom which are well equipped. Bed were very comfortable and cleaned very well on a daily basis. Breakfast is 5 star with a huge choice of Fruit, Fry, cheese, meet, fish and pastries which were well stocked constantly by the staff. Two pools, one for toddlers other was great for a swim or play in. Loads of sunbeds and places to sit around the pool with memory foam type beds on one side. No need to get up early to reserve a bed as there was plenty available. Staff on hand if drinks were required or just walk up the stairs and sit in the restaurant. Kids club available, at the pool, and in the evening with staff very friendly and attentive. Had dinner there which was delicious and good value but menu was a little limited for a long stay. As the weather was 33 degrees and our first time in the sun we didn't go to the beach. Some nice touches such as flavored water available in the foray which was great to stop you dehydrating.

Amazing albeit rainy week hotel stay

This beautiful villa style hotel is located in the midst of an orange/lemon grove (amazing scent at this time of the year) surrounded by lush, mature fruit trees and garden. Our room was large, light, clean and airy with a balcony with an amazing view of the surrounding areas. Breakfast choices was adequate, freshly baked bread, fruits, eggs cooked to our preference were available, thanks Manuela! Staff were very nice and hospitable, shoutout to Sofia, Thiago, Pedro who all provided us with great service. There's a heated pool and spa although we didn't use these. Sufficient parking spaces available on site. As an additional bonus, there's a small holding of donkeys, chickens, geese, sheep and peacocks within the hotel grounds

Stunning Hotel
Reviewed By Redrob27This hotel is stunning. We were given an upgrade to a pool view room in the new renovated block which also had views across the nature reserve and sea beyond. The room was done nicely with good facilities, like shower and body lotion. There was a kettle with tea, but no coffee or milk, but it wasn't really needed anyway. One quirky experience is the toilet behind a glass door. Outside the pool is great with plenty of sun beds. No stress about reserving beds as the British like to do, Plenty of good quality food supplied from dawn till dusk. Breakfast was a full choice with bottles of champagne to add the extra touch along with the piano player. A really nice touch. Buffet lunch also had a wide selection all cooked perfectly, again with wine bottles on supply. Then you have the pool bar which also supplied food and later on after noon tea, with lovely cakes. Would definitely recommend the set menu restaurant. The food was amazing with the usual constant top up of wine . We did our own walk into the nature reserve and on into Tavira. It is 5 miles but a lovely walk ,but you can also hire bikes. Their gym is large and has plenty of equipment for all. As a runner I enjoyed going off and exploring the area . Well worth a trip across the river on the free boat onto the beach. The beach is huge and deserted. You can walk further down, where there is a restaurant if required. This hotel exceeded all our expectations. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was amazing and the area stunning. If you want to experience that little extra luxury then definitely consider this hotel. You are getting a Sandals quality hotel without the expensive budget.

Reviewed By 511AmandaStayed with my husband and teenage children at this hotel for the Easter break. Reception staff were very welcoming and the rooms modern and clean. Breakfast was good, especially the gorgeous cakes everyday. Location is perfect for exploring the region and only a stones throw away from the beautiful town of Tavira with its array of excellent restaurants and bars. Swimming pool was nice and outside seating areas comfortable and plentiful. Would definitely recommend and certainly stay again. Thank you Don Rodrigues ?

It makes us relax, enjoy, smile! Sofia and her staff are unfailingly helpful, going out of their way to make your stay in Tavira special. The apartments are truly charming and comfortable, each one decorated to preserve the history and gracious style of la quinta. Hear the birds sing, smell the orange blossoms, enjoy the fruit of the gardens at breakfast in front of the fireplace. One of our favorite places anywhere!

Reviewed By DL388We enjoyed our visit so much last year we decided to come again. It was nice and quite (February 2022) which we didn't mind at all. I guess this was due to the time of year. The staff were professional and so welcoming and friendly, we couldn't have felt more at home. We're already thinking of booking again. We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa this time with the roof terrace, it was the best decision. The space was really good. The food at the bar was good as well. We ate there most days for lunch and a couple of times for dinner.

Very enjoyable stay
Reviewed By Neil576We stayed for the one night prior to checking into a villa in Altura. We received a very warm welcome and they accommodated an earlier check in time. They provided a very helpful map of the local area and directions to locate the apartment. The accommodation was on the second floor where we enjoyed a two bedroom/two bathroom apartment. The air conditioning worked perfectly and it was spotlessly clean. Access to the second floor for anyone with mobility needs may be difficult as there were a lot of stairs. Large balcony overlooking the pool. No designated parking but plenty on the road below the apartment block. It was quiet and felt very safe. Tennis court and pool very close by as well as a restaurant and bar. WiFi is chargeable and not particularly cheap but it worked well at a good speed. Excellent, helpful and accommodating staff, easy to find, very clean and well equipped accommodation and very close to beautiful Tavira town centre. Good access to the airport as well. Would certainly use again.
