Exceptionally Clean Hotel, Professional Staff, Delicious Food
Reviewed By charlie230First the bad, then the good. The rooms were small, as expected. This was more than made-up for by the other factors below: Front desk staff were exceptionally professional and friendly. As a business traveler I had a lot of needs / demands, all of which were promptly addressed by the front desk staff. As an added touch, they always followed up asking me if the requested service was delivered how I wanted it. I needed help arranging a trip to the Star Wars filming location and I was lucky that the hotel hooked me up with a great tour guide, Mr. Wahid Salemi with SMART TAXI who treated me like family for the entire day and was extremely fair with pricing. The food is quite excellent, in particular the dinner buffet that was offered every night during the holy month of Ramadan. You will be hard pressed to find better food anywhere in Sfax. The hotel rooms are extremely inexpensive - during Ramadan, my room was only $40 USD per night! Not sure how they made any money off me!?!? I tried other hotels in Sfax but was very disappointed. Overall, after trying 2 other of the "top" hotels, I can assure you that Ibis is the best overall choice.

Reviewed By Donald093Very Distinguished and Elegant Hotel Overall this hotel is the epitome of elegence and style and undoubtedly 5 star. The staff were kind considerate, helpful and lovely, the sumptuous surroundings were beautiful. The lobby area and bar and dining room are stunning to look at with elegant paintings and furnishings. Plenty of space everywhere with lovely lounge areas on all floors. The pool area was also impressive immaculately clean and quiet. The food in the restaurant was also very good. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Only minor suggestions for improvement: 1. The cigarette burns on both the common area carpets and bedroom carpets were unsightly. Suggest a no smoking policy or please repair these. 2. A sitting out area or sun terrace would be very nice. Could a portion of the hotel be reconfigured to allow sunseekers to enjoy the sun. 3. The bedrooms whilst beautiful were a little busy with furnishings. Maybe some items not needed. Thank you....we have already recommended this hotel to friends and family.

Siamo stati 2 notti ed abbiamo avuto modo di verificare direttamente le capacità culinarie di Monia e la struttura che, credo, sia la migliore dell'isola. Tutto nuovo ed arredato con gusto. La cena è stata strepitosa. Monia si dedica alla preparazione di pietanze e piatti con prodotti naturali da lei preparati personalmente (marmellate, passata di pomodoro, olive, ecc). Visitare Kerkennah era un nostro obbiettivo e devo dire che non ci ha deluso. L'alta e bassa marea creano un particolare effetto visivo ..."dove la sera c'era il mare- puoi camminarci la mattina"... Prezzi sopra la media ma la qualita' associata ad un eccellente servizio e cordialità sono la peculiarita' di questa location.. Una vacanza da 3 a 7 gg è perfetta. Consigliatissimo

Reviewed By CibusAmans1975Hotel tried to charge me twice for my booking. Room and bedding smelt. Dirty water came out of the bathroom tap. Gym is rubbish and poorly located. No SPA or swimming pool as on the website. We left a day early despite losing out financially.

Reviewed By Ahmed JI stayed in this hotel for a couple of weeks,the rooms differs from single sided beds to king size bed,the shower booth is quite small,what marks this hotel is the welcoming , smiling and helpful hotel staff besides the rooms are clean,as far as I know it is not rated yet,meaning you could not say it is 2 or 3 star hotel,the breakfast is average,a couple of jams ,an egg and milk are served to you but there is no buffet,no sausages to expect or any juice except for lemonade every day!if you plan to eat outdoors,several restaurants are around and the location of the hotel is outstanding not to forget that sfax city is not a touristic attraction as sousse or jerba

Good base, a tad overpriced
Reviewed By Dher5Good base, but a tad overpriced. Staff are super friendly, location good, wifi good, breakfast very simple. Would I stay here again? probably if it was a quick Sfax visit. No real comforts though...should probably be about $10 cheaper a night.
