Lovely tiny hotel in bucolic surroundings
Reviewed By rbmacgregor73My wife and I stay at the Royale Pension for one nite towards the end of a big swing thru central Europe. The town is decidedly off the beaten path and when we were there most of the tourists seemed to be either Czechs or Austrians. The setting for the hotel is lovely. There is a river, the town, Rozmberk nad Vltavou is quite small, and there is a castle on the hill that overlooks everything. The hotel is small, 12-ish rooms I would guess. Everything is very clean. The rooms are tastefully done, the beds are comfortable, and the facilities (TV, washroom, wifi) are modern and work well. There is an outdoor and indoor breakfast area that overlooks the lawn that gives way to the river. The Proprietress, Dana is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and speaks excellent English. It is not great but the town and the hotel are extremely nice. I hope we can return!

Reviewed By kocinetI'm not sure what to think about this hotel. First impression of our room was "uncomfortable". But the room and bath was clean as well as the hotel and restaurant staff was very friendly. The conclusion is: we do not regret staying, but we will not return.

Very good place to stay
Reviewed By soldasfreedomWe did a 2-day rafting tour and spent the night at the Penzion U Hanicky. It is located next to the Vltava river. It was no problem to park our car and store our boat in the front yard. The Rozmberk castle is reachable within a few minutes of walking. The owners are friendly (the place is family-run), the rooms are spacious and clean (and come with trees in the middle). Breakfast was average. All in all, Penzion U Hanicky is great value for money.

Recommandable hotel for fair price
Reviewed By ZdekalIt is probably one of the main hotels in Rozumberk. We came out of session and all guests from the town were in this hotel. The hotel rooms are very good - big, with nice view on the castle, nice furniture. TV cannot be smaller (why did they buy them so small??). Unfortunatelly, they are quite noisy and you can hear people talking from other room. The restaurant is very nice furnished and serves mostly Czech cuisine. Breakfast cost 100CZK per person and is not so good. Especially coffee is so ugly - I think I have never tasted something like that. Generaly, I would come back.

Bohuzel měli pauzu od 16 h do 17.30 h, což jsme zjistili ba místě z tabule před restaurací Jelikož bylo 16.30, chtela jsem se jen slušně zeptat, jestli by byl problem počkat u jednoho piva na otevřené terase, než začnou vařit . Pán za barem na nás velice nepříjemné a arogantně houknul, že prostě pauza je pauza, ať to pochopíme. Prakticky mě nenechal ani domluvit. Takže jsme se otočili a šli se najíst jinam. Bylo to nepříjemné. Odmítnout se dá slušně. Asi jim nejde o zákazníka. Za mě nedoporučuji .
