Amazing property and experience
Reviewed By slm60898We stayed at Hotel Hacienda Guachipelin last week and loved it! Our room had a king-size bed, a double bed, and a single bed, which was perfect for my husband and me and our two teenage sons. The landscaping is amazing - beautiful flowers, tons of birds right outside our door and all over the property. Great hiking trails right on the property, and the waterfalls were amazing! We also loved the pool, the restaurants, and the adventures we did through their adventure center. Also, the soap, shampoo, lotion, etc were unique to this property and were my favorites of anywhere we've ever stayed. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Costa Rica!

AMAZING trip
Reviewed By joshmG5600ROThe place is gorgeous!! they have pool space and a private area on the beach. It is located centrally to a lot of other bars and restaurants as well. The staff there is incredible. Ask for the manager Victor or Endy, they both go way above and beyond to ensure that you are having a great time. You can start everyday with a free breakfast which surprisingly comes with all you can drink mimosas so every day started off the way you would want on vacation. They also have dinner included where you can choose from different dinner each night (one fish/meat/vegetarian option) which sits on a deck overlooking the pool. They also arranged for transport for us to go do outside excursions and airport transit. We went during the beginning of the rainy season and honestly, the weather was way better than we thought it was going to be. it was sunny for parts of every day. Truly a great spot in an amazing country.

Excellent Hotel
Reviewed By cm19w5My cousin and I spent 1 week at this hotel and just recently left. We did not upgrade to Star Class and contrary to some other reviews if you do not have Star Class you will not be treated like a step child. We received a lot of attention from staff and any queries or questions we had they were quick to assist. We rented a Cabana for 2 days and had a spa treatment. We received a coupon booklet at check in for booking PH experiences. We got to eat at all restaurants on property. So overall we do not feel as though we missed out or anything at all by not upgrading to Star Class. The rooms were clean and modern. The closet door was broken once reported someone came to fix it with 5 minutes and we never had a problem after. The staff were super friendly and accommodating 24/7. Truly a happy bunch. Shout to to Dillan, from the pool wait team and Negar from the entertainment team. The only con, I would say is that the resort is in a bit more isolated part of Liberia and entertainment and everything else ceases at 11pm. So if you are someone who loves nightlife and partying this is not the resort for you.

Reviewed By Robert MFirst off, not the four seasons. But who cares!!! This is a place for people who want to have a good time. Whether sitting by the pool or beach, walking the trails, or partying it up play the pool bar with Henry. It’s plenty clean and well kept. Loved the hills, served a substitute for working out. The guys at the beach were not that bad at all, you tell them no and they stop asking. Actually Leo was very helpful to us and we went on a great jet ski tour with his company. If you are looking for the four seasons it’s right across the bay. But if your looking for a well kept beautiful property with an A+ staff to take care of anything you need and have a great time meeting other like minded fun loving people, THIS IS YOUR PLACE!!! PURA VIDA

Perfect Honeymoon Trip
Reviewed By Reviewing101Me and my wife traveled everywhere in the world and we decided to return back to Costa Rica for our Honeymoon and it was the best decision ever. The staff is phenomenal, the food is amazing, and the views are breathtaking. I highly recommend this resort, we felt like home throughout our whole stay. I do advise all men to bring some jeans or slacks or else they wont allow you into the italian restaurant. So just take that into consideration, but overall the experience was amazing. Clean pools, great food, and great drinks.

I had low expectations given we had just spent a week at a luxury resort with beautiful scenery but ended up being pleasantly surprised. Rooms were clean. The bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly. The restaurant was much better than a typical hotel restaurant in the US. They serve things like ceviche, burrata, grilled octopus. I was able to get traditional Costa rican breakfast items at the buffet which was cool. The shuttle was easy to take. Overall I would stay here again.

Beautiful property with Great customer service overall
Reviewed By Nadya CWe stayed 5 nights here during our 3 week trip to Costa Rica from mid may to early June. We started the first 3 days of the trip off at the resort and ended the last 2 days there. We were really impressed with the first stay which is why we returned. The service and consistency was definitely better the 1st stay. Although the staff were super friendly and attentive both times, the hotel seemed to be busier with business groups and this property definitely caters to the groups more. For instance, some restaurants or boat service to the beach club were unavailable for a few days because they were reserved for company groups. Breakfast showed the most inconsistency, as some days it could take 20 minutes after being seated to get a waiter and menus. Some days our kids pancakes would come with great toppings and some days just plain pancakes or some days our breakfast would come out with everything, and others we had to remind them of the potatoes and bacon, etc that was listed with the entree. The Pros: All employees were great, didn't meet one that wasn't personable and friendly Great rooms and AMAZING SHOWERS -Nice pools -The service was always very friendly and professional, they remembered us from 3 weeks earlier and remembered the kids names -The gym was nice - Nice steam room in the spa that you can use even if you don't have a spa service - The massage rooms are lovely and the deep tissue massage was excellent -Golf carts and Nice to take you around - Snacks, and drinks in rooms can be refreshed -Hats and sandals to keep were a nice little treat -Managers will make things right when there is a lapse in service Cons: Stuff discussed above -The lower rooms can be noisy if rowdy groups are walking around -beach is ok -Most Tv Chanels are in Spanish (I didn't care but kids did) - There is construction of new buildings, but you only see and hear it when you exit or walk past buildings 1 and 2 Would return in the off season

The walk into town was about 5 minutes. (also a very safe and fun town) The rooms were massive and clean. Everything was perfect. My husband and I went for a romatic getaway but next time we will be bringing out 2 year old because we know he will love it!
